This has been my family's preferred cinema since our first visit when we watched Black Panther. I hope these standards can be maintained once the novelty of their newness wears off.
First and foremost, the staff are a well-selected bunch. Even though a movie-going experience really requires relatively little interaction with staff, all team members I have encountered, whether at the box office, check in, or concessions, have been friendly and courteous (which, in all honesty, is uncommon for a venue staffed primarily by a younger crowd).
For example, during our most recent visit, the young lady at the box office made it a quick and smooth transaction when we let her know we were using our MoviePass cards for the first time. She worked quickly, but still managed to be fun and conversational. Then, at the concession, we asked if there was a carrier or tray we could use, since we had ordered several different items and our seats in our theater were at the top row. Instead, the staff member offered to walk us into our movie, and she carried in our food for us.
Secondly, the venue itself is generally clean and organized. Of course, some of this is due to its newness, but it is maintained well, too.
Stanchions are properly placed to guide the lines for check in and concessions. Condiments and utensils are well-stocked and clearly labeled.
One bit of feedback in this area, though, is to keep an eye on the beverage fountains. My last few visits, the counters have been littered with spills, stray lids, and straw wrappers. There always seems to be a staff member dedicated to sweeping up fallen popcorn from the lobby floor; please consider assigning one to the fountains, too, so people don't have to lean away at an awkward angle to keep from mopping up a spill with their clothes while they're filling their drinks.
On another note, the women's restroom has always been clean when I've been in, albeit sometimes short on TP after high-traffic times, like when a showing lets out. The multi-stall restrooms (I'm assuming this is the same for men's as it is women's) have hand dryers only, no paper towels, which is fine, except that they are awkwardly placed over the sink counters. There is only one that is off to the side. With the hand dryers in mind, though, I am glad that they thought to make it so you push to exit.
It's also great that there are men's, women's, and all-gender facilities available (although, fair warning: pretty sure the all-gender restroom has become the designated Number Two bathroom since it's a stand-alone...inhale with caution).
The theaters appear to be well-maintained between screenings; I have yet to encounter any stickiness or food debris on or around my seats.
My one knitpick here is that the IMAX theater seating does not recline, nor does it have the swivel food trays. The screen and lounge chairs are larger, but if you order any meals, be prepared to hold the platters or boxes awkwardly in the dark while you watch, unless you show up early enough to eat through the pre-show and previews.
Still, very enjoyable experiences at this location so far....
Read moreThis review is well over due, but I used to go to this theater all the time. But, I had an experience there that was absolutely horrific and I will never ever go back. I told all my friends not to go there either.
Basically, my boyfriend and I bought some food at Habit burger and tried to sneak it in with our backpacks. I totally understand that this is not the right thing to do, and movie theaters rely on concession profits. That's on me, I understand. But we start walking into the theater with our tickets, and there is a man sitting there who very aggressively asks us to open our bags for him.
I had no idea who this man was. He did not state a reason for wanting to search our bags. He was not in any kind of uniform. So I asked him why he wanted to search our bags, which is pretty reasonable? I don't know you, so why would I let you look in my bag? He explains that he is a police officer hired by the theater, shows me his badge, the whole nine yards. I'll admit sometimes I'm a bit snarky, so I asked him what would happen if we didn't open our bags. He said we would then need to refund our tickets, which, again, is understandable. We were doing something we knew we shouldn't.
What bothered me was he was very rude, very aggressive, raising his voice at me and causing a scene. People stopped to stare. I told him I had food in my bag, so I'd go out it in my car and come back. I was a little upset, but it's something I could get over.
HOWEVER, when we came back in the building, this officer pulled MY BOYFRIEND aside, who had said absolutely nothing the entire time at all, and told him he had to "control his woman" because I was "causing problems" and "out of control". This was horrible, demeaning, sexist. It made me feel absolutely awful, that first of all my hesitation to open my backpack up to a complete stranger without reason was "out of control" when I am snarky, sure, but a relatively calm person. But SECOND of all, that he felt my BOYFRIEND could "control me" as "his woman". We are in 2023. I was shocked. What he said was absolutely disgusting and unwarranted. I really hate this theater and will never be back. It's been about a year since this happened, but obviously it was awful enough for me to still...
Read moreMy Name is Shawn, however the last name is not me, I don't know who that is. I have been a serious Movie Goer since the 70's. On March 25th 2024, I visited Regal Delta Shores for Monday Mystery Movie Night. To Compare this Experience with the one I had at Regal El Dorado Hills just the day before, one should look up that Google Review, It will blow your Mind. When I go to the Movies, I'm still a little excited about the coming experience. Just like most of us, going to the Movies is a opportunity for an escape from the rat race we call life. So you want to have as positive an experience as possible. I've had both Positive and negative experiences at both of these theaters. When I was approaching the concession counter to purchases my ticket, I could help but notice the upside down smile, a scowl on the face of the employee who I was about to encounter. His name is Hunter. I mentioned that I had a phone number and preceded to tell it to Hunter. I didn't get it, he asked for it again and again, after three times he got it. I asked a couple of other questions, if they got answered, it was like pulling teeth getting them. MMMN probably contributed to some of the confusion if Hunter wasn't very familiar with it. But, he should of been. When it was Time to pick a seat, I gave a disclaimer based on previous experiences that the number of the seat that is on the screen facing me, may not be the same number as what the employee has om his sides screen. Despite that disclaimer, Hunter jumped all over me (figuratively) saying "there is no E-15" So I didn't want to go through the grind of haggling about it any farther, so I just went with the seat Hunter decided on. I couldn't get away from that counter fast enough. this Movie going experience was off to a horrorable start. Everyone has a bad day, but we should try and put on a smile and be professional and courteous to the customer despite how we feel on the inside. again I would like to say, look up my review of Regal El Dorado Hills It will return any confidence in regal from this review. Regal of Delta Shores is a fine Movie...
