I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chaat Bistro, one of Sacramento's finest Indian restaurants, and I must say, I was completely blown away! From the moment I stepped foot inside to the very last bite, everything about this restaurant was simply perfect.
First and foremost, the location of Chaat Bistro is absolutely splendid. Situated in the beautiful Delta Shores, it offers a prime spot that is conveniently close to Elk Grove, yet right at the border of Sacramento. Surrounded by amazing establishments, including the Regal movie theater, this dining spot provides an unparalleled experience.
As a family-owned restaurant, Chaat Bistro exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service provided by the friendly and helpful staff is top-notch. With quick service and minimal waiting time, the team, led by the amazing manager Hardeep and his partner, ensures that every customer feels welcome and taken care of.
The prices at Chaat Bistro are more than reasonable, offering great value for the exceptional quality of food and service. Whether you're visiting for a casual meal or a business meeting, the restaurant's ambiance is ideal. It carries an air of sophistication, reminiscent of a scene straight out of a Hollywood movie, yet maintains a pleasant and quiet environment.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! I had the pleasure of trying their Channa Bhature, and it was an absolute delight. As someone who hails from India, I can confidently say that it brought back memories of the authentic flavors I enjoyed back home. The bhature, freshly prepared upon ordering, was incredibly fluffy, soft, and downright delicious. Paired with the perfectly cooked channa, which had just the right amount of seasoning and minimal oil, the dish was not only a treat for the taste buds but also a healthy choice.
The expertise of the owner's dad, who doubles as the cook, truly shines through in every bite. His culinary skills as one of the best Punjabi cooks out there are undeniable, and the passion he puts into each dish is evident. It's no wonder that the Channa Bhature I had at Chaat Bistro was the best I've had so far—it was truly a heavenly experience.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Chaat Bistro enough to anyone looking for an exceptional Indian dining experience in Sacramento. This Punjabi gem offers a fantastic combination of delectable cuisine, friendly service, and a wonderful ambiance. Come and support this family-owned establishment and indulge in Indian food at its absolute finest. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I, for one, am already planning...
Read moreFood: spent $104, and the quantity of the food was so small portioned that we couldn't even feed 3 adults. It was so ridiculous. The quality was unbelievably disappointing. The rice was hard, crunchy. It was either undercooked or old reheated rice. The chicken was dry and also tasted like it was not fresh. AND I asked for low spicy, but it was more like full spicy. The one thing that was super irritating was that I asked for the rice to be NO spicy cause it was for toddlers, and the rice was more spicy than all the other food. None of the kids could eat it, and it had a bunch of random crunchy seed things in it .. that looked like seed shells, so it was also a choking hazard for toddlers.
Customer service: Bad, I walked in and waited for someone to come to the counter. I was then told to wait ✋️ and waited 5 or 10 minutes more before he handed me my pre placed order (I was just picking up). The restaurant was completely empty ... that's should have been my sign right there.
That was the first time I had ordered from this place and it will be the last time! Won't ever go back and won't ever recommend this place.
You want good Indian food and great customer service go to Mr. Dosa!!

Read moreWe tried Chaat Bistro on a whim while out shopping and are so glad that we did!
This restaurant was very clean and so were the restrooms (this matters!). They had the football games on so that was nice too.
The food was delicious. We ordered the Paneer Pakora, Butter chicken (medium spice) with rice, and the Saag Paneer (medium spice) with garlic naan and an extra side of naan. The pakora came out quick and the serving size was pretty big. Both main dishes were amazing. The bowls that they serve them in are beautiful and traditional. The medium spice was perfect but I would call it medium+ so if you like only a little spice, you should get mild.
The service was great. You order at the counter and the man helping us answered all of our questions with ease. He brought our food out quickly and it was piping hot when it arrived. He also checked to see if we enjoyed the food at the end of our stay.
Indian cuisine is typically pretty pricey but you definitely get what you pay for so we don't mind the splurge for authentic Indian food. We paid $56 with included two fountain drinks.
You will not be disappointed and you should definitely come and...
