I enjoyed the entire experience of renting an electric bike from The Bicycle Boutique. Even though I knew I could do the rental on my cell phone I decided to start the rental process at home on my computer in case there was a lot to read. The steps were very easy and straightforward and the information required all seemed appropriate. The most that I had to read was the waiver and I read it thoroughly because I wanted to. When I got to the store to pick up my bike rental, the staff member who assisted me was very friendly and helpful. My bike was ready for me and she guided me through the basics of how this particular electric bike works. She also shared information about the area and made some great suggestions. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a bottled water from her before heading out on my ride. The bikes were all in excellent condition and the one I rented appeared to be brand new. It’s a great way to test ride a bike before purchasing one. The return of my rental was an even easier process as it didn’t take much time for her to check out the bike to see that everything was in good order and I had no further paperwork upon return. We were visiting Dunedin for the first time. We specifically chose this destination for all of the biking trails. We checked out the local bike rental options in person. When we arrived to the Bicycle Boutique, we were greeted by Juli who was so friendly and helpful. I loved the local feel of this new shop and we chose to rent from here. We rented two bicycles for three days. The bikes were in excellent condition and came with a basket, a helmut and lock. Juli also gave us each a water bottle, which was exremely helpful in our travels since we had flown to Dunedin and hadn't brought water bottles for cycling. The bikes were perfect for exploring the Pinellas Trail and local neighborhoods. The return was easy and we were greeted by both owners who enjoyed hearing about our adventures. Holy Cow Julie is a DOLL! I called a couple times to reserve 2 bikes for the later afternoon requesting if we could have them until sunset -and she agreed. She was so friendly, kind, helpful, provided water for us, and got us fitted. The bikes were in excellent condition, her shop is super cute and eclectic. We've rented from two other local shops in Dunedin trying out various models in order to know which brand to purchase, and she was by far the most gracious and offered the very best in customer service. She did mention that she may offer night bike rides in the future and we cannot wait for that!
