What an incredible experience I had, dealing with Jeff. What a great guy. He greeted me with a genuine smile as I walked in the door, he had a warm, friendly attitude, and talked to me like a person, not a potential sale. I explained what I was looking for - style, feel / comfort, size, colors - etc, and he walked me over to a few different sets that he had that met my criteria. He had a great selection of furniture in the store and after having checked out a few different sets, and I asked him what the differences were between manufacturers and styles. Jeff went on to describe in the right amount of detail what made one set of furniture differ from another, which differences were more noticeable or important than others, the best qualities of each manufacturer's product, and the different ordering options that were available. Let me tell you - the man knows his business! He answered every question I had, he never once pressured me in any way; I was very relaxed both browsing and asking questions (and I was in there for a good long while). He was always available for questions but had a great feel for when I just wanted to check out different pieces and mosey through the store with my friends. And most importantly, the quality of the furniture he sells is infinitely better than any place I've ever set foot in. Furthermore, the guys who delivered the furniture were efficient, ON TIME, professional, and they were very mindful of both my new furniture and the walls and doors as they moved my new belongings into place, which was tricky at times. I just can't say enough good things about these folks. I cannot see me going any place else to buy...
Read moreThe sad part of this review is, I have never purchased anything from them and I still received the worst service ever! This morning I was about to leave for work, but a truck was blocking me in my driveway. I live in a complex with condos so my neighbors and I share a drive way. Well I waited for a few minutes because I wasn't running late and it was such a nice morning. After a few minutes and trying to maneuver out of the space myself I realized I was starting to run late. I knocked on my neighbors front door and no one answered. Shortly after that two men, that work for the company, walked out from the garage. I walked towards them and explain that their truck has been blocking me in and now I'm really running late for work. His response was, "that's not my problem and it's not my fault you're late for work." How dare you. How dare that was his response. I was polite, calm, spoke softly, And that is how u speak to a young lady. I cannot believe I was treated this way in my own neighborhood, in front of my home, and neighbors. There was no reason for this. With that said it was very clear the younger of the two men felt very uncomfortable. So I hope this one man's behavior (the rude one) is not a reflection on the entire company. I am going to be contacting the store shortly. Let's hope this never...
Read moreMy husband and I purchased two media chairs at Leather by Design. After a little over a year the leather was discolored, cracked and dirty looking. The dirt and discoloration could not be removed with cleaning. We contacted Jeff at Leather by Design and emailed him photos. He said he could not replace the chairs because it had been more than a year since we purchased them. After several discussions, Jeff offered to send a company from JAX to to clean and re-dye the leather. We were pleased with the results. Afterwards, as much as we disliked doing it, we covered the chairs while in use; they were quite expensive. After about two weeks I looked under the cover and the headrest was cracked again. I contacted the leather restoration company and was told there was nothing else that could be done except taking the chair apart and replacing the cracked leather.
