It was time for something sweet before a yard sale tomorrow so we opted for ice cream at May Day's. Their dairy-free selections called me, though I did sample others! Ultimately I decided on Almond Butter Chocolate (made with coconut milk as opposed to dairy). Of course, I asked them to add May Day's very unique house sprinkles. A sweet dose of pastel-hued crunch, crunch, crunch. My companion decided on a scoop of Session Chocolate topped with cacao nibs. My child went for his usual Queen Salted Caramel with a drizzle of chocolate sauce. We had a chuckle that we all seemed to end up with a chocolate selection--and there are several more of the chocolate variety to choose from! The young woman who assisted us from behind the ice cream case was patient and so pleasant as we all sampled several kinds before finally ordering our one scoop in a cup, each. I loved that the porch of May Day's tonight--even within an hour of closing--was graced by live music! The Kimballs were wonderful! I just had to capture some video footage before going into May Day's and also after we settled in to devour our cups of delicious ice cream. It was a bit windy, but they had the right mics and even better talent amongst their group! Thanks so much for the good memory on this Friday night. These are the times of our lives, and it truly is the simple things that help us mark our experiences with joy and meaning so we can look back on it all fondly. What a cool little piece of St. Augustine like an island of the city itself floating us to, "Cloud 9," (also an ice cream flavor of theirs) right down off of SR 312 on Tree Blvd, adjacent from Cobblestone Village! Keep on keepin' on, May Day's. We'll be back for more very soon. Update: July 21, 2023- New Flavor Alert!! Gluten free selection Magic Mango has flown its way onto the scene at our local May Day. Yum, yum! I did give it a try and it seems perfect for the hottest part of a summer day. For me, tonight decided on a scoop of Queen Salted Caramel with Cacao Nibs, Chocolate Sauce and May Day's house sprinkles. Thanks May Day crew!

Came here after lunch at Red Lobster. I like them for having dairy and gluten free ice cream that I can eat since I have sensitivities. I just hope they add different flavors at some point because there's only a handful of dairy free options. There were two ladies working there. They were nice. This was the largest location I had been to, to date. There were a lot of booths. The walls had different art displayed. They also sold ice cream pops next to the ice cream. I ordered the Humble Crumble with a waffle cone. My friend had the Mint Monster with the waffle cone and sprinkles. Everything tasted really great. Would definitely go back if I was in the area again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Sweet Spot with Stellar Service! I recently visited Mayday, and it was an absolute delight! The variety of flavors was impressive, and each scoop was creamy perfection. A special shoutout to Caitlin, who made our experience exceptional. Her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm added a personal touch that made our visit memorable. The shop was spotless, and the atmosphere was welcoming. It’s clear that the team takes pride in providing top-notch service and delicious treats. If you’re in the area and craving something sweet, Mayday is a must-visit. Cloud-9 is my personal favorite!

Mayday has gone downhill and by that, I mostly mean they’ve gotten really cheap. When we moved to the area it was the place to go and we loved it but have seen more and more disappointing changes (at all locations) over the last year. Anywhere you go these days, you expect to pay $5-6 for a small scoop and that’s alright if it’s good and your portion is decent. Mayday’s prices are as high as anyone’s but their portions are extremely skimpy. I got a split scoop single today and it was the smallest little scoops of two flavors. While I’m happy you brought back splitting scoops after you wouldn’t allow that for a single, this is just not a reasonable portion for the price I’m paying. Earlier this year they started charging for sugar cones. Not waffle cones, which will cost you an added $1.50 (which is honestly normal) but sugar cones. I can honestly say this is the only place I’ve ever been that has charged me for a sugar cone. A final frustration, I have to ask for the guaranteed cookie and sprinkles on my last several visits. Not sure if this is a service problem or just another silly money saving attempt but it has really taken away from the experiences that made me a Mayday fan! Your ice cream is good but between the skimping portions, high prices and buckle and diming things no other places are, unfortunately I am going to have to take my...

Best ice cream ever! We have been to Mayday midtown since it was the Hippo Cafe! I love the creativity of the products they come up with! I just wish it still had the charm of the hippo! The midtown location was great before the remodel with the tall booths and the alley entrance, it just makes the place too closed in and just miss the charm of the eclectic hippo had! The amazing light and open feel! The couches and the cool tables they had, that feel of hanging out and meeting friends! Ok back to the ice cream! Go! Get! Some! Any location! Is amazing! Our favorites are the Bluesky blues, cookie crush, aviator and the afogatto is amazing! Also if you go to midtown hopefully you get to see Harland and Chase! Great customer service...
