Krystal’s Produce — Local services in Saint Charles

Stopped in at Krystal's a couple weeks ago and got some green tomatoes to fry up along with some strawberries, black seedless grapes, and some Arkansas beefsteak tomatoes. Can't go to any grocery store and get better prices! Had to stop back by again today for more, unfortunately were out of green tomatoes 😕 but can't wait to enjoy my grapes and strawberries!!!

Love, Love, Love, Krystal's Produce!!! Excellent produce at great prices. Great for having Missouri and Arkansas beefsteak tomatoes, perfect to just slice up or making BLT's. Yummy sweet watermelons, Organic (from Amish grown chickens) brown eggs, as well as several canned Amish relishes, apple, peach, and pumpkin butters. From grapes to cherries, peaches, apples, and oranges, blackberries, blueberries, and melons you're sure to enjoy some fresh food! Now even include seafood items such as crab legs, scallops, and shrimp. Plus catfish fillets and nuggets!!! I always get my fresh produce at Krystal's. During flood of 2019, Krystal's helped out the Deerfield Subdivision Community with $25 worth of fresh produce. And again during Covid. The employee's are always very friendly and helpful. So if your near northern end of St. Charles, on Elm Point Rd near the corner of Elm Point and New Town Rds....in same parking lot as the car wash, be sure...

Moldy produce and rude owner.

I stopped there today as they were advertising 3 pounds of strawberries for $3. The gentleman that helped me said if I took a whole flat (8 pounds), it would be $7. I went ahead and paid for two flats, but when he brought them to me at least half of the 8 cartons in the top flat showed significant mold. When I said I wanted a refund, the actual owner of the place said "well that's why they are $7". I don't care how cheap it is, the produce should not be moldy before I even buy it.

To add insult to injury, when I insisted I didn't want them, the owner herself laughed at me and called me ridiculous.
