Tl;DR - It's an $8 Chinese buffet... You get what you pay for. Staff is super friendly and service was fast. Lunch at 11:30 on a Thursday. Not very many people, was immediately seated and brought a drink by the host. Friendly staff.
Got braised chicken, general tso's, coconut chicken, pot stickers and a deluxe roll. Everything was warm, but clearly not fresh (somewhat expected of a buffet).
Braised chicken tasted... Off. General Tso's was very good. Deluxe roll had a unique flavor and a slightly spicy kick. Coconut chicken was good, but room temperature. Fried potstickers were... Very weird. One shell was soggy and didn't look very appetizing and the other was super tough and chewy. The meat filling tasted like a wonton dumpling and not what I expected of pot stickers.
Went back for seconds plate - Got more coconut chicken, a crab Rangoon and butter chicken. Butter chicken was awful. Crab Rangoon was mediocre.
Didn't even consider trying the sushi - one look and I walked...
Read moreFirst of all I have to say that I'm very allergic to soy and cabbage AND I will be dining here again! Yes, it's that good.
What I love about this place: The food, all of it, is absolutely amazing. My favorite thing we ordered was the hunan pork. It's a bit spicy but oh-so-good! That said- literally everything was good. They have the best egg rolls I've ever had. This is a place whose chef truly cares about their food! The service is friendly and helpful. They anticipate your needs and address them promptly.
What's not-so-great: The decor is very simplistic. You won't see the traditional elements of a Chinese restaurant- no golden dragons, no gold and red anything here. The furniture is dated. Do I care? NOPE! The restaurant is clean and well maintained. My hubby and I will be coming here often!!
Take 370 to elm. They're on the right hand side of the street in a small strip...
Read moreI ordered last night for delivery in an attempt to try a new chinese restaurant. The delivery time was 35-45 minutes so about average, however it was new years eve and they might have been a little busy. Every thing we ordered from the crab rangoons to the chicken lo mein was absolutely fantastic. Their sweet and sour chicken is completely addictive and their prices are so amazing. I judge Chinese restaurants by their egg rolls and when i saw the price for one egg roll i got a little scared. It is $1.40ish for 1 egg roll but the egg roll you get is massive. It's 2 inches thick by 3-4 inches long and it tastes fantastic. My only complaint was that the delivery driver was grumpy but who wouldnt if they have to work on new years eve or any...
