Placed an order online, and the price was just under 47 dollars. When I picked up the order, I had to repeat everything I ordered. The man says they have the order and are just bagging it up. For a Togo order, I typically still tip around 20 percent. When he brings the food out, he says the total is 54 dollars. I hesitate and question how the bill increased 9 dollars from what my online receipt says? He says well online you only ordered 1 rice, but when you got here, you said 2. I rebuttled no, the order I placed online says 2 sides of rice along with everything else on the order, and it was only 46 dollars. He says he had to correct the order to 2 bc they only had me down for 1. Either way, an additional side isn't 9 dollars. So I ask if there are an additional 2 orders of rice bc for the price difference that doesn't add up. He says, "No, just 2 sides. We went back and forth for another moment while I'm pulling up the email that confirmed 2 rice, guacamole, queso, tacos, and nachos. He said things are more expensive, Togo bit everything is in the bag. I replied well I'm not concerned if you packed the bag correctly, I don't understand the price change for an order that didn't change. He didn't appear to understand what I was saying and looked to be cosigned by the other kid at the front. I reiterated they are having a communication hang up but don't need to worry about seeing my money again. I got the food home and the steak was cooked so hard it had a crunch. The pita bread was over fried. There was no cheese on my tacos. The queso had bits in it that may have been heated cheese that cooked to the bottom of the pot that they scrapped in during preparation of my order. Most of it was thrown away bc it was trash.Long story short, the place may have a new location, but they still ain't shit. There's far too much competition to be playing with them.
Worst taco salad I've ever had. It wass flavor less and a pile of mush. Tried adding salsa for taste, and it only got...

New review 8-18-2020: Service was downright horrible! Our waiter took our drink order. My boyfriend ordered a Cadillac Margarita which he said tasted like plain juice, and I ordered a rail vodka with Diet Coke which was basically a Diet Coke with lots of ice. Our waiter didn't bother to inform us that they no longer have physical menus. You have to take a picture on your cell phone of the code thingy posted on the wall to get the menu. Well, both of us being older, had no clue what all that noise was all about. The nice young bus boy finally came over and helped us and took our order. I will admit the food came out quickly, hot, fresh and was delicious. Although we had to ask for silverware and extra napkins twice! Next, our waiter brought our check. My boyfriends Margarita juice was $12.99 and my so called rail vodka with Diet Coke was also $12.99! WHAT??? When I questioned it the waiter tried to tell me I ordered a double. I said "Oh no sir! I absolutely did not!" So he took a whopping $2 bucks off and still charged us $10.99 for halt a shot of cheap vodka! Finally, we just said okay, we will pay the bill and get out of here. But we can assure you there will be no tip (and we typically tip between 25-30% when we get good food and service) we will NEVER be back, and I Will post my reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, and everything else. So have a great...
Read moreLet me first state that this place used to be very good. I grew up in St. Charles and always went to El Agave. Haven’t gone in years but thought I’d visit for a lunch date with family. I wasn’t mortified, or outraged, I was just outright disappointed.
Our waiter didn’t understand our requests, or even bother taking the initiative of getting us chips. Ordinarily there is a minor language barrier at Mexican restaurants, I get that, but having an wait-staff employee that was incapable of understanding basic requests in English just isn’t acceptable; and that amplified the real problem here:
We ordered an order of Chicken Nachos, pretty easy order, no special requests. The nachos came out with chicken that was quite pink and in some spots red. That was something we brought to his attention on our own approach, given that he never checked up on us. He then insisted it was “the regular chicken”, that wasn’t the dispute, but of course the language barrier interfered with his ability to know what we were actually complaining about. He then takes it back, only to bring us a plate with more raw chicken. At this point he didn’t bother inspecting to insure it wasn’t raw, just served us it.
Needless to say we refused to pay for a meal we couldn’t enjoy, and left. I urge you, if you want quality Mexican cuisine, there’s much better places that have quality assurance that you...
