As a designer myself, I had a vision of what I wanted to make a 10-year anniversary band for my wife to include her engagement center stone. Something special, something large, something meaningful. I spent weeks picking out the four additional stones and doing my own sketches coming up with what I thought the 5 stone ring should look like.

We went to a jewelry store closer to our house and after a few meetings, we finally got some feedback with a single wireframe cross-section snapshot of what the ring should look like. I was told the stones could not ride like I depicted them and the solution that was provided looked silly. We were told that the ring would not look very uniform or flow well and would be unattractive. The CAD designer said he didn't talk to people so would not speak with me directly, even though he was in the back room. Any rendering of even their modified version of the ring would run $250. And that was only a single trimetric image.

As I sat there trying to salvage the afternoon with the jeweler my wife went out and did a quick Google search for custom jewelry. She came up with Roemer's, called them and had an appointment set for three hours later.

We walked in, showed the ring, the stones and my sketches and told Tom what we were looking for. Ready to be disappointed all over again, imagine my surprise when after about a minute of pensive thought and looking at the size of the stones, he said "We can do this, and that will be a lot of bling on that finger!"

He pulled up his software right in front of us and we spent the next 15 minutes talking through what exactly we wanted. Tom, with his extensive background and experience, provided a number of very useful suggestions that we ended up incorporating into the ring design. In less than half an hour he had a close approximation of what the ring would actually look like. We were blown away. We signed up on the spot put, down a deposit and waited.

A couple of weeks later I received a call saying the ring was done. When I picked it up I was floored. Just a stunning piece of work. Roemer's is amazing, come here for anything you want done! Fantastic...

Life took over so this review is three months late and long overdue!

My husband gave me a new wedding ring and having only had it two weeks I got it caught in the dryer pulling out clothes and bent the setting. I was just sick about it and wasn’t sure what I was going to do. I had also decided to re-purpose my old one. Easier said than done. I had a vague idea of what I wanted but was going in a number of different directions.

I decided to go to Roemer. I have been there One other time and they have a beautiful selection of one-of-a-kind pieces. I presented my new ring and asked if anything could be done about it. Tom took the ring from me to the jeweler in the back and within five minutes it was as good as new.

After chatting with Tom I indicated I wanted to take the head off of the old ring and turn it into a pendant. I have always had a love for rubies so Tom said that he would bring some in for me to evaluate to put into the old setting.

The Three I looked at were all gorgeous in their own right but one stood out to me. He suggested Rose gold prongs, which I would have never thought of, but it perfectly accentuated the stone.

I could not be happier or more pleased with the way it turned out. I’ve gotten many compliments on it and absolutely love it!
