I'll start with a positive. Beautiful salon. That's about all I have. Needed to find a new stylist, so I researched online all the different salons in my area. After days of research I decided to make an appointment with Joseph at this particular salon. Under his profile he had it set up to make the appointment online. I chose my time and was very excited to meet him and get a new style. I showed up 10 minutes early and one thing that struck me about the salon was no receptionist. Since it was my first time I wasn't really sure what to do. They have a wall with a board with all of the stylist and it said to pick your stylist and their loft number. So I did. He was #10 and I went and sat outside his loft. He wasn't in his loft which immediately made me uncomfortable. And of course since there is no receptionist there was no way to inquire. I think this is a poor concept. Anyway I waited and waited until I finally decided he was not going to show. I took his card and then I sent him a text. No response. Finally another stylist walked by and I asked her if I needed to do anything different since it was my first visit and she said no and she was very apologetic and asked me to come back since there were some really good stylist there. To say I was angry is an understatement. I understand there are computer glitches and I also understand things happen. But to not answer the text and apologize is simply unacceptable which leads me to believe is he dead? Does he just not care about his clientele or is it I was new so oh well? Whatever the case may be, I'm pretty intolerant to this kind of customer service. If you can't make it call me. I'm understanding, but to simply ignore is wrong. I now have a bad taste in my mouth about this salon. Although I know there are most likely some really talented stylists there. So Salon Lofts, take my advice and change some things up. And Joseph, you lost a great client....
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER I scheduled a hair appointment with KELCIE BOYD for my daughter's highlights , cut and style. Upon arrival no welcome..no smile..busy on her phone..she seemed unhappy from the beginning. After asking my daughter what she wanted as far as service we were told only booked for 2 hours and not enough time to provide highlights and would have to come back another time for color. I was fine with that since we were already there. An hour goes by and Kelcie walks out of her loft ( on her phone again )...I turn to talk to my daughter and all I see is her hair all over the floor.I asked my daughter if she told her to cut her hair and she told her to trim the ends. I about cried at the amount of hair she chopped off only to be told it was an inch she cut. After telling her there was no way thats just an inch of hair she smiled and laughed even though she seen I was visibly upset. At that point I was done...I was done with the appointment..I was done with her playing in my daughter's hair. I was just done. I told her to wash the bleach out so I can pay and leave to find someone to fix what she damaged. KELCIE then said she was going to wash the product from my daughter's hair and not charge me because she didn't want me to dispute the transaction which threw me off because it was never about the money. The REAL reason she didn't charge me is because she messed up my daughter's hair and knew she was wrong. I should of known better from the start and found someone who is professional and certified to do the job. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND KELCIE BOYD...
Read moreMy stylist was Kelly B. I saw her twice hoping to find a forever hair keeper. After my appointment 7/15/22 for an all over color lift and cut and my daughter’s long layer cut with face framing, we left wondering what had just happened… I had a brass ring where my smudge root once lived and the entire back of my head was yellow, orange, white and copper and a neck trim with dull clippers that scratched my neck. Not one blade of hair and was cut. My daughter left with an non-layered, blunt cut.
After the first process, my hair was completely yellow. She asked me “do you want me to tone?” I’m not a fan of tricolored hair, so of course I said yes. She then continued to place multiple other products on my hair causing extreme dryness as well scalp sensitivity. Still not resulting in the requested color and told “keep using the purple shampoo, it’ll lift”.
After giving my head and hair 24 hours to rest I found another loft owner that I contacted who saw me and my daughter on Sunday 7/17/22. After 5 hours in her chair for a color correction and trying to salvage what hair I had left, we still had to cut it as the previous color wouldn’t lift and my hair was irreversibly damaged.
I contacted Kelly for a refund. Of which she declined stating that “it was my choice to see someone else” to correct her mess up and threatened to contact her attorney if her name was slandered in a bad review.
This is my personal experience. I would just strongly urge anybody considering her services to proceed...
