Went to MOD Pizza for the first time prior to a graduation at Lindenwood. We didn't realize how exactly the food was prepared and it is very similar to Subway where the customers stand in line until the food is either done cooking or made, and then the customers stand at the food pickup counter once their pizza and order is complete. I understand some customers may like seeing their food prepared in front of you as you are requesting each ingredient. However, from a timing standpoint if you are in a rush, i would highly recommend ordering online. My husband and I were standing in line behind at least 5 parties and once we were 3rd in line decided to order online. The food was immediately prepared and our food ended up coming out before the couple we were ahead of in line. So if we had ordered earlier, our food would have come out before couples ahead of us. The estimated cook time from online ordering was 20 minutes. If MOD could figure out a way to have two or three people served at the same time, I think that would create a much better experience for those who want to order in person. Once food is prepared, the crust is perfect on the edges. The crust is thinner so the more ingredients you have, the more soft it'll taste in the middle. The salad ingredients were very fresh and "light". It was delicious! The lemonade was sweet, but not too sweet. There's an outdoor patio with about 6-8 tables and it looks up onto First Capitol, but it's not too loud from the cars. We will...
Read moreI'm giving a one-star review. I arrived at 12:30 p.m. and literally stood in line for close to 35 minutes Just waiting to place my order. There were only two people working in the front. One young lady taking orders and the other person placing the pizzas in and out of the oven. I asked to speak to a Manager and ironically that was the person managing the oven work. I explained to them how long I had waited along with many other people. I inquired if they're shortage had to do with people calling on sick? The young lady explained That there were no call offs. This is the way they are staffed and it was really out of her control. I felt so bad for these employees! You could tell that they were definitely overworked. She stated that is the way that their shift is scheduled during the day. (?) Keep in mind I was there on a Saturday !?! A Saturday at 12:30 p.m. which I would consider rush time for lunch. Although the pizza was good, that is an extremely long time to just stand in line at a Mod Pizza. Amd the 35 minutes of waiting in line to place my order was not inclusive of the time it took for the pizza to cook! Again, I'm really sorry for these two employees. You could tell they were doing the best they could. I will not be returning to this location! I'm assuming their scheduling is done by upper management ... Shame on you, upper management for taking advantage of your employees!!!!! I encourage them to quit and go somewhere where they are treated fairly and are...
Read moreHere’s the thing: if you visit a Mod Pizza restaurant—and if there’s a line inside—-then please just be patient. The employee work model when assembling pizzas seems to involve an effort to take the time to do it right and when applying toppings, they want to distribute toppings evenly and make your pizza or salad appear full. I’ve observed them working at several locations now, and that work model suits me just fine. I’d rather have a finished product done correctly than in a rushed, sloppy way like at competing restaurants who just bang out orders during a rush and then give you a terrible product. Delicious pizza 🍕 and patient staff, they pay attention to details and build it just like you like it! I ordered the Mod-size pizza with a side Caesar salad Deal (the discount is about $3 less than ordering these items separately). The Mod-size pizza and salad combination was $10.39 + $5.89 plus tax. Their Lemonade 🍋 is marvelous, too! Who could...
