“It’s like a real life esty store” reads one of the various banners that’s advertising the business. It earns all points in that aspect, but it feels like it’s such an idea that’s too concentrated and requires a proper titration lab to get the formula just right. The store aims to be a good contrast between a gift shop and a traditional Main Street store, although the formula contains a few errors. The first main issue has everything to do with the people as a surprising result. For reasons I don’t quite phantom, I recall getting awful looks inside the store from a few members of the staff—please tell me it was just a fluke! But it’s made me rather nervous to ever come back alone. I went with my cousin whose transgender, and she voiced strongly to be that the store isn’t that welcome to pride members, earning her the same amount of looks that I received from when I came. I understand, pride is a touchy subject with people, I’m not the one to judge, but it should be stated. So, is it like a real life esty store? Yes. I recently ordered a St. Louis Ambush jersey from Under the Yellow Umbrella for my husband’s upcoming birthday. When the package arrived, I realized I had received a youth large instead of the adult large I ordered. I called the store and spoke with John, who went above and beyond—he personally delivered the correct size to my home within an hour of my call!

Lots of local vendors under one roof, so you truly can’t guess what you’ll find next... and that it is unpredictable is the best part.

The owners are welcoming and seem truly interested in showcasing the community and its creativity.

Every visit feels like exploring a real life Etsy marketplace (that's what it says outside their building), and they’ve already become one the more interesting stops on North Main.
