Such a HUGE disappointment! I took a brand new w/boxCoach heels, $125 pair of boots from Buckle (worn once), a pair of Louboutin heels (worn once), 2 brand new w/tags Free People shirts ($78 & $138 were the retail price), 2 pair of Miss Me jeans, a pair of True Religion jeans, and a few items from Abercrombie. I called before making the drive because I had only enough gas to make it there. They said they bought all of the brands I was selling and I would receive 30% of half the retail value. When I went there they seemed so disorganized at the counter. They had me register and then told me it would be 3 hours before they could tell me if/what they wanted to buy of my things. Disorganized yes....3 hours wait busy?? I would of took all my stuff then, but I needed gas to get home. 3 hours later....not to mention several people who arrived after, helped and on their way. When they were finally ready to assist me they only wanted my $125 dollar boots worn once....and offered me $6! I asked them what was wrong with my other things and the excuse I was given, "We either don't sell the brand here or they are TOO worn." I then asked what happened to half of 30%of the retail value?? All's I got was a dumb look and blank stare! Of course I didn't want to sell my awesome boots for chump change! But, I needed gas! They had me. Did I mention they stole my red Louboutin bad out of my shoebox!!! I really hope they aren't all this bad....but they ruined it for me! I think maybe my stuff was too nice, who knows. I know this I will NEVER go back in there! Not even to shop! It all left a bad taste in my mouth. They got my boots for $6. My sister went in 3 days later and they were selling...
Read moreHonestly, this is my first time having a negative experience with this location and it’s disappointing because this location is the best out of all the others because they offer more money. I first brought my clothes in and was told it’ll be a 45 min to an hr wait ( I always ask because this location is busy ). Now an hr passes and I go in to ask about my clothes and they haven’t even looked at anything and said it’ll be 45 min to an hr wait and I said I already waited an hr and one of the girls was like “ yeah that’s just an estimate “ no sweetheart it’s not. Telling me it’ll be a 45 minute to an hr wait is an exact timeframe of when my clothes will be ready. Now I almost waited two hours and said they’ll take 9 items for $22. And some of these items being brand new shoes and clothes with tags. I just took my clothes back . The passive aggressive/micro aggressive behavior is why I will never return to this location but they’re selling hats with dog hair on them but asking when I say I’m selling are my clothes washed and folded. A joke and waste of peoples time. Even looking at how this store responds back to people’s negative reviews is questionable and...
Read moreMy first time at any Plato's Closet location was entirely underwhelming. I was attempting to sell an Amiri hoodie and jeans. The employee that helped me asked for my ID and phone number and said it would probably take 20-30 minutes get a price, and that I would receive a text notifying my of this. At this time I received a text with a link to their website tracking the progress of my potential transaction. 45 minutes later there has been no progress and no text. Going back into the store another employee informed me that they were waiting for a text accepting my items and with the price they would offer. 20 minutes later I checked the progress link again and saw that my transaction was ready to complete, I never did get a text. So back inside, the employee said they would take 3 of the items I had and could offer 23 dollars. I laughed and politely declined.
The staff at this location were friendly and helpful, this review does not reflect their performance at all. They don't determine the items they accept or the prices they offer. They were just as stuck waiting as I was. But overall this was an hour+ of my life that I will...
