Only giving a 1 Star because no stars is not an option. We were less than impressed with this place after we placed three separate orders,to go, and after we got home it had come to our attention that there was a problem with every single order. Our first order we asked for the Chicken Verde Wet Burrito Plato and it had no rice, beans, or chips & salsa which is supposed to be included with that meal. Our second and third orders were supposed to have CHICKEN jack quesadillas and we found that they had no chicken. We quickly went back to the restaurant to get the issue resolved and instead of a quick resolve, we got attitudes from three employees. We asked for the quesadillas to be remade with chicken, like we initially asked, and one of the girls said it was our fault for not checking our receipt to make sure the order was right. We failed to check our receipts when we received our order, however, how is a customer supposed to know how an ordering system specifies what goes on a special request? A customer should have the confidence that their order will be correct. If every customer has to check their receipt to be sure the order is correct, there is a problem with quality of service. We told the cashier that we felt it was her fault for either not listening to what we were ordering or for not putting in the order correctly. We were told, with attitude and sarcasm that it’s not her fault because she is new. Well, if an employee is new, they should be fully trained before being on the floor or should be supervised while being on the floor. We asked them to be remade and was told very rudely that we’d have to pay extra. Most places will comp a small charge, such as this, when a mistake is made and I asked if the charge would be comped due to the inconvenience of having to come all the way back and was interrupted by one of the girls saying that they couldn’t comp it. I asked for the manager on duty and all three girls told me there was no manager and no person in charge. I asked for a phone number of the person I could submit my complaint to and was told they could not give out that number. After this point I was done being treated so poorly by THREE employees that I just asked them to remake the quesadillas and I’d pay the difference. When they gave us the slip to have the order made the bag was ripped out of my hands and thrown into the garbage from across the room and backs turned to me until the new quesadillas were made. When they were finished, the employee THREW the bag at us and walked away. When we got home, again, the order was not satisfactory. The chicken was burnt. So, overall, we paid for a meal that was not satisfactory, got attitude from three employees, and STILL did not get a replacement that was an enjoyable item. We will not be returning to Del Taco as well as my family that we had ordered the...
Read moreLast night on Halloween, my father and I were harassed by a worker by the name of Victor at the St. George Utah bluff deltaco location. He had given us our food then our card declined. He then yelled at us because it was busy and we were wasting his time, we offered to give the food back and that we would call the bank and get back in line. He then said " I doubt that" as we drove off. Once we figured out our issue with our card we got back in line to pay. I asked to speak to his manager which his response was there was no manger he was in charge for the night. I tried to tell him that the way he was speaking to his costumers was inappropriate. He then ignored me and said he was only talk to "the man in the car". He told my dad that the food was free and my dad kept trying to explain that we didnt want free food we wanted to talk to a manager and his apology. I have a video of the transaction I can provide if the owner care to do something about it please let me know where to send this video to. In the video he does not let me speak, speaks over me, says he doesn't talk to girls. Then points out the outfit I was wearing (my halloween costume) saying "look what shes wearing". Not pictured in the video he mocks me with facial expressions. Then when my dad yelled to stop arguing he said "yeah listen to him" which my dad responds with "that goes for you as well not just her". I told him that I was recording and going to report him he responds with "yeah make me go viral, enjoy your free food". This behavior is unacceptable for someone who works in customer service and I hope no one else ever has to deal with what we dealt with. Especially for other women out there. This man is not safe and should not be working in customer service with a hot...
Read moreThis was just my second time eating Del Taco, and I could die happy never eating there again.
As a Midwesterner, I've only had DT once before on vacation 2017 in Lone Tree, CO — it was incredible. The food was amazing, the drive-through worker was hilarious and experience was unforgettable. Fast-forward to 2021, and I won't shut up to my fiancee about how magical Del Taco was. On our second to last night in town to visit Zion, we go for it. Our cashier is clearly on her first day and getting help from a trainer as she takes our order. It's fine. Food's ready in like five minutes and we're all good until — uh oh — we're missing my fiancee's spicy jack quesadilla. I let our cashier know, and she gets on it with the rest of the Del Taco team. Have a seat, they say. So we sit down and 5-10 minutes later we're about 90% through eating. I figure to ask at that point, and the worker asks around until they find it sitting somewhere in the kitchen? Not the best look. Two minutes later the trainer asks if we ever got our quesadilla. Honestly not sure it was worth waiting for. She didn't finish it.
Objectively, this was a two-and-a-half star experience. But, I'm never gonna get psyched up about eating Del Taco again. The magic is gone, and that's something you just can't bring back.
Oh, and if someone at Corporate ends up seeing this: You're not paying the Lone Tree staff enough. They are the exact kind of brand ambassadors any fast food giant would be...
