This is the first fish market I’ve been to since moving to Minneapolis, and I don’t see why I would ever go to any other. I met one of the owners (Michael) and he was very helpful and friendly. I had no idea what I wanted when I walked in, and happily left with some quality fish I purchased a few small pieces of sushi-grade fish and cut it myself (albeit very poorly), which was very fresh and tasty. I don’t remember the name of the white fish (white tail tuna maybe), but it was my favorite by far I also picked up some smoked trout and smoked Cisco; the trout was a bit salty but it went well on crackers. The Cisco was really hard for me to eat/navigate the bones, but it tasted good! Thanks for the help and I look forward to supporting you guys for the foreseeable future

I highly recommend this fish market!! Especially if you want to make sushi at home and need sushi grade fish! I stopped into this fish market for the first time today, and I was blown away at how wonderful the manager was! Extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, and kind! He was also very patient, with me being a beginner with fish and making sushi ❤️ With his help and suggestions, I ended up purchasing yellowtail, ahi tuna & salmon. The fish at this market is unbelievable! It literally melted in my mouth! I don't think I have ever had fish that was as high quality as the fish from Brookies! I'm so happy I stopped in there today, and I can't wait to go back!

Love the service and the quality. I have bought both whole fish and filets. The fish is treated with such respect, the quality is spectacular, and the butchering is first class! So happy we finally have a great fish monger in the west metro!!! Ginger & Ume broiled Artic Char and Wild Caught Salmon on ume vinegar scented sticky rice with a artic char skin crackling on top!

I drove for over 2 hours round trip to check this place out. I was hoping to buy some trout for dinner. When I arrived I was greeted by the staff. Very friendly!! I asked what trout they had and was informed they actually didn't have any. To say I was disappointed is an understatement!! The gentleman that was helping me apologized and said I do have some nice Steelhead trout. (Red meat more like salmon) But since I drove all that way I said I'd try it. My husband cooked it on the grill. It looked beautiful. But unfortunately it tasted like dirt. I was very disappointed to say the least!! I'm sticking with Coastal Seafoods in Mpls. I've never been disappointed there. But I really...
