SUMMARY: This has become our favorite restaurant because of the exceptional food. We travel almost an hour to get to it, we make a point of coming every week. The service and the ambience are relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommended. FULL REVUEW: This has become our favorite restaurant because of the quality of the food, the spices and flavors. I believe they grow their own organic vegetables, and the chef uses special spices that add a nuance I have not encountered at other Indian restaurants. This is why we travel an hour to get to a strip mall restaurant. So if you are looking for exceptional food, I recommend them warmly. As for ambiance, the location is very ordinary, and while the decor is lovely, this is not why you come here. The person who welcomes you and takes your orders reflects the feel of the place perfectly--he is as exceptional as the food, and makes your visit as close to perfect as he can manage. I would recommend using caution when you specify the level of spiciness--what is taken for mild here will be called medium elsewhere, and medium is off the charts. I think that spiciness may be experienced differently by the Indian palate (I am descendant from Northern Europeans). Our favorite dishes are: Fried paneer--cheese cubes fried in batter and served with quintessential Indian sauces--which the chef makes himself instead of "opening the bottle especially" as happens in most restaurants; Chicken Tikka masala--their tomato creamy sauce is truly heavenly; Lamb korma (or sometimes we feel like a vegetarian option and we order paneer korma)--their korma sauce is made with ground cashews (while many Indian restaurants use the cheaper option of peanuts or almond paste); Alo Gobi (cauliflower, and potato dish, which I like for its simplicity, in contrast with the richer dishes above mentioned(; Matter paneer (paneer cheese cubes in a mild tomato sauce with peas--with a tomato sauce that differs from the other variants of tomato sauces: Korma and Tikka Masala); garlic naan and butter naan--best eaten immediately (never as delicious when you warm it up at home). I am taking the time to share my thoughts in detail (rare for me), because I think this restaurant is equally rare--and I hope you will enjoy their food as much as we do.

Best of India, I need you to come to THE front, expeditiously! This was my first visit after wanting veggie curry and needing something other than Dancing Ganesha. A quick Google search introduced me to Best of India. Tons of vegan options, which I LOVE. I ordered my staple, chana masala, and instead of veggie samosa, because I despise peas and did not feel like picking them out, I tried the aloo bonda. GREAT choice to try something new! The aloo bonda are chickpea battered potato balls that come with what I am guessing is a tamarind sauce and this tangy spicy red sauce. The red sauce was AMAZING! The tamarind was yummy, too. I asked for "medium" spice on the chana masala and they understood it. Not too spicy and not too weak. It was a warm medium and did not overpower the flavor. The restaurant was REALLY clean, at least the dining area was. They were friendly and had no problem answering questions about vegan options, even offering items. I will admit... Best of India is much better than Dancing Ganesha with the chana masala. I ordered takeout and it was ready when I walked in. They also have a 10 min pickup parking spot right outside the door.

Indian is our favorite meal so when we recently moved to the area we were excited to try the nearest option. We came for dinner and arrived 1hr30 min before closing. There were two tables just leaving as we arrived, making us the only people in the restaurant. There was no music on, making it eerily quiet for our entire meal. Appetizers were fantastic and I can't rave enough about the accompanying chutneys/sauces. Best by far that we've tried across many cities. We were also impressed by tandoori - exceptionally flavored and not dry at all like many places. The curries were decent, but heavier on the oil than i prefer. Servers were extremely friendly and attentive, but we had a series of miscommunications. That was no big deal but with each attempt to clarify they walked steps away to the register or kitchen to discuss as a group, making it very loud and awkward since again - no music. I think we'll be back because the food really was good, but maybe just for take out so we can have some ambiance.

On October 16th I placed a pick up order with Best of India. Within 10 minutes of ordering I was called by Best of India and told the wait time was longer then what was indicated because my order was “so small”. $33.75 of food. I said to forget it I was in a time crunch and I would like to cancel the order. He said “you have to cancel the order with Grub Hub.” I told him I have no way of the canceling the order and to never mind I was already charged, transaction pending, and I don’t want to be out $33.75 so I will do the new pick up time that they informed me of though not indicated when I ordered. He said, “no I’ll cancel the order on this end. You won’t be charged.” Well I was charged and the order not canceled. Now I’m having to chase my money to get a refund back from Grub Hub. (Grub Hub’s customer service has been a breath of fresh air compared to what I received from the restaurant) So disappointed in this restaurant as this is the second time I’ve had a problem ordering on line through Grub Hub with them. Their method of online ordering mind you through their website. The first time my order was never received causing me to wait at the restaurant for 45 minutes as they never “received my online order” though I had email confirmation the order was accepted and a pick up time given. The online ordering system needs to be better or go back to orders by phone only. I would gather that their have been multiple issues with this restaurant and complaints as I can’t believe I am the only one. It’s really too bad as I was a weekly customer for the lunch buffet...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Best of India, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped inside, the restaurant exuded a warm and inviting ambiance, setting the stage for an enjoyable culinary journey.

One of the highlights of our visit was the impeccable service we received. The owner and manager personally greeted us and took the time to guide us through the menu, making recommendations based on our preferences. Their attentive and friendly nature made us feel welcomed and ensured that we had a memorable dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Best of India truly lived up to its name by delivering a culinary adventure that showcased the best flavors of Indian cuisine. We indulged in a variety of dishes, including chicken curry, shrimp curry, and an assortment of appetizers. The chicken curry boasted tender and succulent pieces of chicken bathed in a rich and aromatic sauce that left us craving for more. The shrimp curry was equally delightful, with plump and juicy shrimp immersed in a harmonious blend of spices. The appetizers were a treat for the taste buds, perfectly complementing the main course with their crispy textures and tantalizing flavors.

What pleasantly surprised us was the affordability of the dining experience. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices were reasonable, making it a fantastic value for money. Best of India managed to strike a balance between quality and affordability, which is commendable....
