Friendly, welcoming even warm smiles will greet you here on your first or latest visit. Smallish former commercial property repurposed into a community space with a storefront entrance, gallery, coffee and gift shops, main hall for events, rooms for meeting, storage, and so on.

Indigenous in their context means firstly a recognition of native (North American) peoples and land as the foundation of the present. Secondly that indigenous peoples of South and Central America and Canada are equally also founders of those lands and have a place here. Thirdly mainstream modern NA culture has abundant venue elsewhere, here you should expect to find counter culture, protest, subversive, minority, alternative, multi-ethnic, multi-colored, LGBTQ+ and non-popular expressions. Fourthly in this Latin American flavored neighborhood of Saint Paul where all but indigenous peoples can be considered immigrants, recent immigrants all stripes are also welcome including but not limited to Karen, Hmong, SE Asia, Europe, Africa and more.

This center is also a place where people can gather together for healing, for services, for ethnic foods, crafts, music and arts, for friendship and community, non judgemental, where one can be different or be the same in safe surroundings. This is the best kept secret of the East Side! They have a good coffee and tea selection, including boba tea. It's run by an arts and culture nonprofit, so they always have different art and they often have cultural events. It's staffed largely by teenagers, which I think is great.
