First off, I've had the worse experiences with a guy named Andy there. He is very cocky, very rude and doesn't take much pride in his job, if someone is late on a payment, you shouldn't call them a day or 2 after their missed payment and say something very unprofessional such as this "I don't know where you are getting money to pay us, because you don't get paid this week. Maybe it's a second job or something but you need to pay us this week. My husband has asked why that's his business, that's personal. And he said" it's his job to ask questions, and then said and right now you haven't made a payment, u have a contract with us, so right now it is my business. " he was being very uptight, to the point, my husband was red in the face for how he was getting treated I had to take the phone and explain to him. That we had made a payment arrangement the day our payment was due with a lady that seemed to be new to the store. We wanted to pay $30 on my account. And the Full on his. We pay every 2 weeks. So that means on our next payment X amount would be added on the balance I still owed. We usually pay together
The girl, fairly new I'm assuming cuz she didn't understand anything we were trying to say with payment arrangements had just added my full balance owed to my account so I was paid off but didn't pay my husband's. So now he was due to owe,. Even after multiple time trying to explain to her she just said that we could pay this amount and that this amount would be due on the third week. Where is the third week coming from? We do every 2 weeks, not 1 week, not 1 month. So the payment was gonna need to be due the next week, which was not our expected original date to pay. After all this not even a few days later Andy calls and says all the stuff he said as i stated above. And then some....
I can't begin to explain the disrespect my husband was given. They don't even get paid enough to treat their customers with disrespect.
I feel like like they draw a line when they start calling and harassing you and then start to call your emergency contacts like it's really that important. It's unnecessary
They don't care about personal problems just about them making money. On any given situation where's there's a problem. The manager is usually understanding and nice. But Andy needs to get fired, and some of the employees need to be taught common sense. And get re trained. Cuz they most def weren't trained properly. Calling people and being rude makes me wonder how he got hired in the first place cuz if it looks over personality then anybody should apply. This place is a joke
What they won't tell you is they charge you interest, and a late fee, the later the payment. Which means you can pay as little as $30 extra for late payment and probably as high as $60. I made my payment on time, and Andy had went into the computer and put half paid on my husband's and half paid on my account which I didn't give him authorization to do. (mind u he did this while we were on the phone with him but we never agreed to it) When I went to pay they said I owed X amount which was$28 more then what it was suppose to be. Then the assistant manager said when you're late your interest goes up and you get charged a late fee. Since when? Andy even took it as far as calling more then 10 times between my husband and I. And shows up at my house with a sorry we missed you. Way past store hours. Harassing much? When we told the assistant manager about his harassing calls his response was "well that's what we're suppose to do.
If I had a story for every time something went wrong or I was unsatisfied I would be writing a novel. Becuz this wasn't the only alteration. All times Andy liked to sit there and argue with you and be rude.

   Read moreThis is now the second complaint that I have sent to Home Choice. My experience with Home Choice began on November 28, 2014 at the St Paul, MN Midway store. I worked with Dave (the store Manger at the time). I ordered a bedroom set that included; a head board/foot board, dresser, mirror, nightstand and chester. My items were scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday December 3, 2014 between 2pm-4pm. No delivery was made. At 4:00pm that day I called the store and was told that the delivery truck was running late and it should be to my home shortly. Again, nobody showed up. I called again at 5:00pm, 6:00pm, and 7:00pm just to be told the exact same thing each time I called. At 8:00pm, Dave (the store manager) called and apologized and promised that my items would be delivered the next day. On Thursday, Dec. 4th the delivery guys came and delivered most of my items. They did not arrive at the time scheduled but they did show up eventually. Apparently, the mirror that went with my dresser was not in the warehouse. I was NEVER told this information until I questioned it when the delivery guys were packing up to leave. I called Dave the next day and at that time was told that he "forgot to tell me" and would have the mirror delivered in the next week. About two days later, I received a call from my landlord stating that she received a call from someone claiming to be a rental property and wanting to know if I was a good tenant, as I would be moving out at the end of my lease and moving into their property. With great confusion, I was able to piece together that Home Choice had called my landlord to "confirm residence" but lied about who they were. I was completely disgusted at this point. I called Home Choice about this just to be told by Jeff (one of the men that delivered most of my bedroom set) that my landlord was a âpathological liar.â On December 20, 2014 I went to the store to make my payment and to figure out what the status of my mirror was. At that time I spoke with Jeff again only to find out that Dave had gone to another store and NOBODY seemed to know that I was waiting for the mirror. Jeff assured me that he would personally deliver my mirror on December 24th. Again, nobody showed up with my mirror nor did I receive a call. I called the store AGAIN on December 26th to find out what was going on just to be told that the stores truck had been stolen. I do understand that things happen but I was not granted the common courtesy of a phone call. This was the second no call/ no show and a complete waste of my time. On Monday December 29th I called again but this time requested to speak with the new store manager Michelle. I told Michelle my experience and she apologized and promised that she would try to make things better. She asked if she could be given until the following day at Noon to have things sorted out and she would call me then. I never receive a call from Michelle so I called her back but was told that she couldnât speak to me because she was in a meeting. In the mean time I called Dave, the original manager that I worked with, at his new store. He told me that he would call the Midway store to figure out what was going on but mentioned that he knew that the delivery guys were busy that day because they were on a ârepoâ for a customer that was murdered. Later that afternoon I called again, this time I spoke with Michelle and she mentioned that my mirror was in Burnsville and would have it delivered to me on December 31, 2014 between 3pm and 5pm. It is now close to 10:00pm and I have not received my mirror or a phone call. I am absolulty disgusted with the service that I have received from Home Choice. I have held up my end of the contract that I signed just to be let down by...
   Read moreIf I could give them zero stars I would, I'm a new costumer here and I was expecting more professionalism here when I got my furniture the delivery guys show up way earlier then they told me and I asked them if they could come back when they supposed to they said no and I will have to schedule a new delivery time and day so I have to get off my job earlier than I was supposed to just to get it, I live in an apartment complex there's elevators to get to the 3rd floor they were using it till they came to me and told me that the elevator got stuck and went off or whatever with my furniture inside i was like so what Are you guys gonna do? They said " nothing just call home choice.'' and that's what I did, Andy this guy answered me saying that there was nothing they could do about it but the delivery guys just left after the fact the elevator was repaired the next day I have to do the rest of the job myself so I called for a refund because the guys didn't finish their job so I called and Andy told me He was gonna refund my money when I showed up to the store he said he never said that.'' he argued with me and went on to ask what was the point of the refund but at the end the manager gave me the refund Now, I got behind one payment for some personal reasons so I went to the store and try somehow to set up a payment so I wouldn't fall behind so far on my Payments I talked to the new girl and I think she didn't got what I was trying to say, anyways I had a call from this Dude Andy which in a very rude dude start talking about my payment being late and what not I was trying to talk to him but he kept interrupting me every two seconds to the point he even said let me talk I let him talk and next thing you see he asked me from where was I getting the money to pay him because as far as he knows I don't get pay that week he never let me talk at all it got to the point my fiancé have to take my phone and talk to him just to explain how everything was set up with the new girl. very unprofessional And rude people working here. I'll never come back their prices are very high as well so I don't recommend this...
