I’ve been to this salon on and off for years. I was treated horribly tonight by 4 staff members - everyone knows that often at nail salons technicians talk #%*% about their customers. This was beyond - the employees were clearly saying horrible things about the way I looked, didn’t greet me hello at all. Didn’t even ask me to sit down … I stood next to the chair for 5 minutes to see if anyone would invite me to sit, nope. Sat myself. There was a male staff member early 20’s who was the rudest, looking me up and down hands over his mouth laughing. I am a plus size chica and it was very obvious it was them discriminating me for my weight. There were no other customers there by the way so it made it easier for them to act this way. I already had chosen the pedi service, my feet in the water and couldn’t take the horrible way I was being treated. I said you know what I’m canceling this, I’m going to Serenity nails (incredible salon and outstanding service by the way) and writing this place up.” I walked out, the manager (not sure if he’s the main manager, male) at the door didn’t say anything but had definitely noticed the interaction and I have a feeling was also saying something rude - and I just said I’m leaving. He said why? I said they were very rude. Again: what why? I said they were clearly saying some really bad things about me, I’m not stupid…. He said “I’m So sorry..” I said I don’t deserve to be treated this way. And I gave him a look I don’t think he...
Read moreI've loved this salon and its people for years, but not sure if I'll go back after my last visit. The technician rushed me in, used a power file on my nails and was done with my pedicure before many other customers who had already been there quite awhile longer than me. She was rough on sensitive skin, but seemed like my heels were hardly different.
When it was time for me to sit at the dryer, the shimmer on my big right toe showed that there was a big unevenness in the surface of the nail. I looked closer and it was obvious, like a cliff in my toe nail a third of the way down the nail. I also had a big smudge on the left big toe. Another worker saw me inspecting my toes and brought another woman over to fix them. I asked her about the nail on my right foot and she didn't respond, just painted a few more coats over both big toes. Then I was chided not to move, so I didn't mess them up.
I few days later, upon closer inspection, I found that uneven line in my nail to actually be a split--a horizontal slice half-way across might right big toe nail. It makes me very upset. Not even that it happened as much as she didn't tell me it happened when she did it. And the two other workers that looked at my toes before I left didn't say anything or apologize or try to make it right either. I was very disappointed. I'm not sure it's worth the risk to return, but if I do, I'll be sure nobody uses an electric...
Read moreOk so my pedicure was actually awesome however the lady that started my feet made the water too hot. I told her it's cold outside but u don't have to boil me. Another patreon laughed she changed the temp of the water So I let it go. Then when she rinsed my feet she had it back on hot. Too the point where u can see steam coming off the water. I screamed. Told her get away from me because I felt like she was intentionally trying to burn me at that point. Queen tried to say it was all an accident but I'm thinking no. I felt like I was being mistreated based on my skin tone. Before any of this happened they kept trying to force me to get gel polish. Told me how they couldn't do the simple design I wanted unless it was gel. And even asked if I really had money. Which I laughed at bc of course I have plenty money. Anyways Queen did my feet nicely but the overall customer service experience was horrific. Like I threatened to call the police on the lady that burned me. Queen de-escalated the situation but she wasn't really on my side she just wanted the money so she completed the service for me. The pedicure was one of the best I have had so I gave it a 3 because of the lady that likes burning ppl. If u want to get a lawsuit going this would...
