I wanted to like this place so Bad! I really did. We read the reviews and got excited. First time in the area, we enjoyed everything else, then came here looking to EAT. We sit down in a booth and get carded by the server upon sitting down. She tells us to go sit at the bar (the place is not busy.) We respectfully decline, clarify, and request a food menu. Shortly after, some bouncer comes and cards us again in our booth? We're both 25 and looking for a meal at 8 pm, did I miss something? It did not bother me too much until I saw a dad and child walk in without any objection or investigation. After being carded so much, I figure I might as well buy a drink—my second mistake of the evening. A simple rum and coke from a lounge was one of worst I have ever had.
For the duration of our meal we felt as though we were bothering the server when she would come by. As my wife served at a bar/restaurant for years, we were both in disbelief. I do not have unattainable expectations when it comes to service, quite forgiving actually. However, I do not wish to feel uncomfortable by the person waiting on me.
Had it not been for a decent burger and fries, we likely would have just excused ourselves at any point. I really am tolerable and patient with the food industry, as I said in the beginning. I really wanted to top my weekend experience off with Tiffany's. I was sorely disappointed.
I will not step food in this place again, nor would I recommend it to anyone that finds themselves...
Read moreLocated at 2051 Ford Pkwy in St Paul, the incredible food at Tiffany's Sports Lounge is flying wayyyyyyyy under the radar!!! Twenty years ago it served your average bar fare, but now it's menu includes some amazingly delicious choices! For instance, right now every Friday during Lent, they're serving the best all you can eat fish fry in the Twin Cities! The fish is Alaskan Pollock dipped in Summit beer batter and served with surprisingly yummy fries and coleslaw for $15.95. If you prefer a smaller portion you can get a smaller serving of the exact same meal for $13.95, but just one serving. We also, tried the Asian chicken wings and were stunned by how moist the meat was and how amazing the slightly spicy Asian sauce is!!! We love Buffalo Wild Wings and order their wings twice a month, but my wife and I honestly like Tiffany's Asian chicken wings better than Buffalo Wild Wings Asian Zing wings! Tiffany's wings are perfectly cooked and are much more moist than Buffalo Wild Wings and Tiffany's sauce wins hands down! Tiffany's also serves good drinks and I enjoyed a pint of Guinness, while my wife loved her pint of Angry Orchard, hard cider beer. We'll be back often and you should give their...
Read moreI have been here 5 times in the last 3 weeks. 3 of my experiences there were incredibly slow and unattentive service. Two of my poor experiences were during lunch on weekdays. Both times there were 4 tables or less to serve when I arrived. It took over 20 min just to take my order. She didnt bother to check to see if I needed anything after she served me and then, i sat with my coat and gloves on waiting for the check for almost a half hour. "Hello? Im here!" Just trying to grab a quick lunch by myself during a work day. It shouldn't take an hour and a half to order an appetizer and beverage, especially when it's slow! I really want to like this place because I just mooved 2 blocks away. I would probably be here 3x a week but unfortunately the food is pretty average bar food and not a great selection so it's nothing to write home about. This pretty much means you are paying for service, which thus far has been terrible in my experience, nor is it terribly friendly. If it was a new employee who was obviously flustered it would be forgivable, but seriously at least glance at your tables to see if they need anything. Playing channel surfing on your 37th tv is not more important than...
