I am so glad I found St. Pete Guitars. Stevie B came highly recommended to me by my guitar teacher - Stevie B's old shop on Central Avenue in St. Pete was legendary. At the new Gulf Blvd. location, Stevie and Lee did an excellent set up for my Guild acoustic at a great price (I was so satisfied that I brought in my Guild and Gretsch electrics for setups a few days later!). Stevie and Lee are fun to talk to and they love having customers trying out the guitars. I really appreciate how they also took the time to explain what they did to my guitars to make them perfect. St. Pete Guitars takes me back to the cool local guitar shops in Westchester County, NY in the 1970s: hang out, talk gear, test drive the equipment, get really professional advice - positive vibes all around! Service I have had here has been above average. They have been willing to work with me and been very patient with me trying different guitars. I went in today with intent to buy and Lee had to be badgered into putting on a mask. He seemed less than thrilled to actually abide by his own stores standards and this really rubbed me the wrong way. I described to him that I wouldn't be comfortable shopping with any individuals who did not have a proper mask on and if this wasn't something achievable I would leave (noting that the store has a mask mandate). While I was shopping, a customer without a mask came in and Lee went right to being buds with him. I was very uncomfortable and just got up and left. Seems like a really neat store but I just don't wish to shop somewhere I cannot...

Wanted to say how fantastic my experiences have been with St Pete Guitars,both as a buyer and a seller. The new owner, Matt Fisher, is the real deal, passionate about guitars and music and oh so easy to deal with! The entire staff, Lee, Ian, and Abe are pros and the customer service they provide is great! I'm in the music business myself and I really appreciate great service and always tell all of my friends when I receive it!
