First, I stayed in 202. This review is for 202.||||Don't believe them when they say everything is sanitized due to COVID19. Heck, this place hasn't been dusted since 2018. So bad, I could CLEARLY write "Dust Me" in the dust that had collected on the TV base/stand. So let start with the CONS:||- Checked in and the dining area light was out. Property manager called the owner whose first question was "Do they really need it". Kicked us out for several hours the next day to repair only to later give up and bring a floor lamp.||- All the furnishings were ANCIENT, broken, dirty, ill repair. Sofa and chair had plywood under the cushion to keep you from falling through. Recliner go stuck in the recline position. I could go one, but why??? Holy crap, there was more stuff that was worn out broken than wasn't. ||- ALL the shades were from 1990 and missing slats and many of them were broken and would fall out.||- Carpet was so nasty looking that I refused to walk barefoot or in sock feet.||- Place was just dirty! Child's greasy hand prints all over the sliding glass door. Smeared boogers on bathroom wall. Dried food on dining table chairs, Greasy dished and dried food on silverware. ||- Wallpaper was peeling off on practically every seam and there were holes and indentations in the walls in several places.||PROs: ||- Great location! Close to beach! Lots of clean towels (although found dirty one hanging behind door in bedroom)||- Beach lawn chairs provided.||- Property manager was very nice and helpful. Not her fault the owner refused to upgrade the place and fix all the broken stuff.||||CLOSING: Do NOT rent 202. This place is NASTY and I've lived in places in 3rd world countries was wasn't has broken down...
Read moreI called the office before reserving our 15 day stay. We wanted to take our little Jack Russell, Ringo with us and since I was paying with a points program through one of the vendors we use when we purchase siding that we sell to customers, I wanted to confirm that they allowed pets. The lady I spoke with told me they were a pet friendly resort and I explained why I was calling first. 2 days later I contacted them to confirm our condo reservation and again asked about pets. However, the manager I spoke with this time informed me that they did not have any pet friendly rooms at this resort. She offered to refund the money but unfortunately, once I hit the except button, I agreed to no refunds through the point administrators. We left Ringo with family and proceeded to drive instead of fly since it was too late to change our travel plans. The room was a studio, which we knew ahead of time and it has not been updated in years. Each condo is owned by someone else so you get whatever they have or don't have in that particular unit. We stayed as positive as we could and made sure we enjoyed being at the beach with one another. My advice is to try to find out what type of updates your owner's are offering before you book your unit. Ask for pictures of it and try to find out as much as you can. I think you will have a better expectation if you can find out as much information...
Read moreSeems like these are units owned by people. Each person updates their units and lists them on Airbnb or they allow the management office to rent them out for them. Ours was rented via Airbnb. Unit was very clean and tidy. Everything you need is already there, from towels, washcloths, kitchen supplies/utensils and even beach gear! Only thing that I don’t like is that they have outdoor balconies but for some reason they don’t want you smoking on the property. It’s very weird sitting on an outdoor balcony/patio not being able to smoke your cigar or cigarette.
Something they could do is put cigarette disposals around the property or at least have a smoking area because a lot of people smoke honestly. And telling someone they can’t smoke while outside is a bit weird.
Now even though the unit I rented via Airbnb on this property was updated, there was structural damage to the buildings themselves. Like we noticed the unit had cracks going along the ceiling. The water took forever to get hot and never really got really hot. Also the interior staircase sounds like it’s going to collapse at any given moment.
I believe for the price I should have chosen another Airbnb that didn’t have structural damage to the building and where I can sit outside on the balcony and/or patio and enjoy a cigar or cigarette on my vacation.
Other than those small inconveniences,...
