Campbell Park Recreation Center — Local services in Saint Petersburg

This is a very unique Park, they have a FREE Skate Park here that is also wheelchair accessible, Well most of it anyway the bowl is not. We were here for an abilities event, which turned out to be very cool. We were only in the skate park area, street skate, half pike, bowl, rail slides. We did not use the pool although it looks very nice. It has everything a good skatepark needs for competition. Large areas to skate or bike. Very nice smooth cement skatepark. New tables and seats are needed. The homeless are overstaying their stay and sometimes it gets crowded with homeless people sleeping on the ground half naked when their are children playing. They have shelters to go to but as some of them are junkies and will not go to a shelter. The park is a place to bring family together, I adore the vibrant trees and the mango tree is beautiful, a school, football field, baseball field and a swimming pool and more.
