🎉😁Fun evening! 😁🎉
We stopped at Bavaro’s for penne ala vodka, margherita pizza Neapolitana 🇮🇹 and a tasting of a fine Pino Grigio. Portion sizes of food were more generous than I expected.
Then on to Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe 🍾 for a tasting of pimento cheese spread and sriracha tuna with a 6 oz. pour from a selection of wines (white, red, rose, or bubbly). This is a quirky little place—very old Florida meets artsy St. Pete.
We meandered our way back to Renzo’s 🇦🇷 for a cappelletti spritz, mini beef empanadas, and tastings of sirloin and sausage with chimichurri, and a fine Argentinian Cabernet. The restaurant manager explained the difference between Californian and Argentinian Cabernets.
We ended with the BEST gelato at Paciugo.🍨 If gelato is not your thing, you also had the choice of an iced coffee, latte, or cappuccino.
All the food was delicious and the wines were very good. The tour takes about 4 hours and winds from Northside Park through downtown St. Pete.
I would recommend wearing sunscreen and prepare to sweat, so dress appropriately. You are riding in the road for parts of the tour. Helmets are strongly recommend and provided. Our guides, Jen and Doug, are really nice and knowledgeable about the city.
I thought this was a really good value and a lot of fun. I hope to do the brewery tour and...
Read moreCoast to Coast Bike Ride The awesome locally-owned big hearted bike shop St Pete "mural toured" our group of 12 and then outfitted some of us for the Coast to Coast Bike Trail trip. The Mural Tour was a great intro to St Petes , filled with history of the city and lots of background on the mural art. The Mural Tour is great at providing insight into the city and mural art. Doug was an awesome communicator as we coordinated the bike rental for the 275-mile Coast to Coast ride. The bikes were 21-speed "FL Hybrid" with cushy (wide seats) and upright handle bars- they handled all manner of trail surfaces: sand and mud in the Green swamp section and paved on the New Smyrna side. Doug sent us off with bike lights, extra tubes, bike tools, after switching out to our clip pedals. Sweet shop with folks who share...
Read moreRenting bikes from St. Pete Bike Tours was a smooth and pleasant experience! When our family was initially looking for bike rentals in St. Petersburg, we were searching for bikes that would allow for a relaxing ride along 5-10 miles of the city's coast and downtown. We ended choosing St. Pete Biking Tours and they suited all of our needs! Their bikes were well maintained and had the necessary accessories (i.e. water holder, night lights, basket) for a fun and enjoyable bike ride. Further, Doug, the bike renter, was extremely kind in helping us deliver & pick up our bikes at our desired time. He provided everything we needed and communicated with us quite well. In all, our family absolutely loved renting from this place. The price is affordable, the bikes are superb, and the service is excellent. We...
