I really wanted to like this place. After seeing the owner posting about it on X I knew I wanted to try it out the next time I was in town and finally got a chance to. The overall aesthetics and vibe are top notch, but it didn't come without issues...
The Good: -Super new and modern lobby and rooms (albeit a unique style of modern) -The pool has nice seating with cabanas around and a full service bar with food -Bathrooms are very spacious -Self service closets with extra towels, toothbrushes and other toiletries
The Bad: -The noise from the rooftop bar! I read past reviews about the noise issues and saw one that said if you request to be on a middle floor away from the noise you can't hear a thing, so I called in advance and asked about getting a room away from the noise. Apparently the staff does not understand how noise travels and put us directly below the rooftop bar on the 4th floor. It was BAD, all you can hear until 2AM is banging bass like you are staying at a nightclub. I don't know who in their right mind would think this is a good idea to put on top of a hotel without adding good sound deadening windows and tall glass around the rooftop bar to contain sound. The front lobby gave us earplugs to help but like why is this even a thing. If you go up to the rooftop it is very clear that this is not a nightclub and rather more of an upscale restaraunt/cocktail lounge so there is zero reason for the outdoor speakers to be blasting as loud as they are (this is coming from someone who enjoys loud music at a bar, this is just not the vibe up there) -Although it is new construction, the room we stayed in was quite literally falling apart. The shampoo and soap dispensers were falling off the wall in the shower, the lock for the bathroom door had the screws pulling out of the drywall and then when I tried turning the shower on the entire handle just pulled right out of the wall. -The blackout curtains themselves work great, but they do not run along a track like many other hotels have installed to prevent light from leaking at the top and edges. The street lights were blaring in all night around these spots and made it very difficult to sleep in a room that couldn't fully blackout. -No free breakfast like many other local hotels offer at the exact same price point -At checkout there was a line backed up to the bar with not a single worker in sight working the counter. Eventually I had to ask the bartender and he had to go find someone to help the guests
All in all, the hotel itself is very nice and comfortable, but they need to get on top of their maintenance a little better and figure something out with the noise from upstairs. Unless you do not plan on going to sleep until after 2AM, this is likely not the...
