Crab House — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I have been wanting to try Crab House since I move to St Petersburg. I have been wanting to try garlic crab but it seemed everytime I came it was closed. Today I was googling seafood places near me and Crab House came up. On Google it said it was closed but I called and they were open. I didn't get the crab this time. I got house special fried rice and garlic wings. Those wings stunk up my car in a good way. I was tempted to eat some on my way home. They tasted even better than the smelled. I would say its about my favorite thing I tried all year so far. The fried rice was good and packed full of meat. I am from Houston and it sort of reminded me of Timmy Chan's fried rice. Geez Louise the eats here are really good! In a super comfort food way! The garlic wings combo includes your choice of stir-fried rice or fries, and a side of slaw. For garlic fiend’s like me, they won’t be garlicky enough. However, they are damn good regardless. Crispy, tender chewy goodness. The stir fried rice comes with soy sauce packets as it’s not salty at all, for those low salt folks, which is fine by me to add my preference. The surprise hit is the 1-ingredient cabbage slaw. I came here because I was around the neighborhood and I saw that this place had a lot of good reviews. The outside is not presentable but was the food worth it ? I would say yes and no. I got the garlic wings because of the reviews and they were good I liked the fried wings better but I think that’s all on personal taste. I also got the house rice which wasn’t bad but it was just missing something something to make it really good. Overall I don’t think I would be coming back maybe for the wings but again everyone has different taste buds.
