Sandy Bottom Bagels — Restaurant in Georgia

The employees and ambiance were great. But man, that food was absolutely awful. I got a (emphasized to employee) toasted Asiago bagel with chive cream cheese, a hashbrown and cheese grits. The bagel was not toasted at all. It was soooooo dense and cold. Not toasting a bagel is just depressing, especially when they are not fresh. Plus, there was not one spec of Asiago on the bagel, it looked completely plain on the top. The hashbrown was not cooked all the way and flopped in half when I picked it up. And the grits… no salt or any favor, but that’s okay I have salt. I usually do not do reviews, but I am genuinely shocked I waited 15 minutes for that kind of food. I really think this place is cute and has ALOT of potential, but the bagels need to be better. I could have made a better bagel just making it myself. Food...

Ordered 3 day ahead of time for our vacation. We were ordering a large order. The order was lost and when we called to check an hour before pick-up, they had to find it. The regular bagels were pretty good. The gluten free bagels were not. It’s almost better to not provide gluten free if it’s not good. It was super dense and grainy. If you use the right flour, you can create really light gluten free items. Price was fine.

Edit to reply to response: It wasn’t a catering order. Pick up was Monday at 8:30 am. My mom called to confirm before she drove over. They didn’t know what she was talking about and had to search for the order that I had placed several days before. This was at 7:45 am. They did find the order and it was ready when she got there. Sandy Bottom Bagels.. hands-down one of the best places to eat on earth. You're probably thinking, "what's so special about a bagel?" Well first off, they are made fresh daily. Fresh bread is good, but fresh bagels are excellent. The flavor packed into the bagels, even eating plain is incredible. Seriously drooling thinking about it right now. Now for the sandwiches and sides: I know that any time I try something new, I won't be disappointed. I've had breakfast and lunch there and am always so impressed. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. Take it to the next level by ordering soup with a sandwich and dipping. If I could go every day, I would. If you haven't visited yet, GO!!!
