I remember eating here many years ago. I needed to make a quick stop over to SSI, so I was already in the retreat village plaza. I had my two oldest daughters who just love Chinese and have never experienced it in a buffet style setting.

I like the fact that they were just opening, but were attentive to each customer. Upon walking in, we were promptly greeted and seated. We enjoyed the buffet and the cozy atmosphere. There were many company workers/contractors who were on lunch and seemed to be regulars who enjoyed it just as much.

I love Chinese food but this was probably the worst Chinese food I have ever had. The only thing I could eat was the cashews and the celery and the rice; everything else was so bad in taste that I could not eat it. I did not say anything because I was with a group and did not want to embarrass my host but I would never eat there again. I ate cashew chicken and the chicken didn't taste like any chicken I have ever had in my life and it was a bad taste. Service was quick and friendly. Location was very convenient to SSI beaches as we didn’t want to take the time to go into Brunswick. The food was average…nothing special and not so very satisfying. But, acceptable. The dishes had an off taste to them…hard to put my finger on it but a little like the taste of old cooking oil. The portions were fair or even generous. The egg roll was nicely plump and hot- but the filling was mushy without being able to discern specific vegetables. Overall, ok but I would hope for more.
