El Torito Supermarket — Local services in Salem

I normally don’t talk a negative about businesses, especially Mexican ones because I would like to support their businesses, but I just had a negative experience at El Torito Supermarket.

I was at the checkout stand, and a glass bottle of soda dropped out of the basket fell and it broke the cashier told me that she still had a charge of me for that item. It’s store policy.

It’s a very convenient for the store to profit off of consumers, even though I’m not able to enjoy the product, but the business still profits from it. Right now the economy is so expensive for them to profit over it. The owners of these chain, Mexican stores are very selfish and greedy. It’s really sad, pathetic taking advantage of your own clientele. The whole reason why you are in business because you have customers.

Normalmente no hablo mal de las empresas, especialmente de las mexicanas porque me gustaría apoyarlas, pero simplemente tuve una experiencia negativa en El Torito Supermarket.

Estaba en la caja y una botella de vidrio de refresco que se cayó de la canasta se rompió y La señora de la caja me dijo todavía tuve que pagar el artículo. Es política de la tienda.

Es muy conveniente para la tienda sacar provecho de los consumidores, aunque yo no pueda disfrutar del producto, pero el negocio aún se beneficia de él. Los dueños de estas cadenas de tiendas son muy egoístas y codiciosos.

Es realmente triste y patético aprovecharse de tu propia clientela. La única razón por la que estás en el negocio es porque...

If you have never been here, you should definitely check this place out! They have an amazing assortment of foods that you can't always find in a corporate style grocery store. They have a great selection of meats. Try the marinated chicken thighs they are the best. They have a bakery as well as a deli section where they have bean, rice, fried pork skins, and carnitas. They also have homemade guacamole and salsas to buy by the pound. I can't say enough good things...

So the smaller conchas are okay. Let's talk about the handmade corn tortillas that are made on site. They definitely need better quality control. They are already cut for chilaquiles with holes in middle of the Tortillas. Seriously you can not use these Tortillas for tacos, enchiladas, etc other than chilaquiles. Never buying the Tortillas...
