Came in for a birthday celebration and they were very accommodating. Even when someone in our party wanted an extra side, they promptly got it. Well worth the time to be there. We stayed a little long, but it didn't seem to bother anyone. Thank you
Latest visit: Food standard at a BBQ, but this experience had it's highs and lows The food was good - as to be expected from the Original Roadhouse or any reputable BBQ place. We come here twice a year typically and this was one of our standard visits earlier in the evening. We were sat down quickly as few people were there. Suggestion to go early if you can around 4:30 for dinner (gives time afterwards for dessert). Our wait staff was friendly and took our order. We didn't have a complicated order, everything off the menu and straight forward. I would say the only thing we did was to have an extra menu item ordered to go. I think that is where things went wonky. Our meals came out - well most of them. Everyone had their meal except one. Which was ok, and we waited for the meal to come, which it never did. In fact, we started to look around for our wait staff, or anyone that would look our way, and we seemed to be in no-mans-land. Finally one of us had to get up, walk across the restaurant to get some help. That finally got things moving, but we still waited a while before our wait staff came back, only to then ask if we had all of our food - they were concerned, but instead of going straight back they started to take orders from other people in this no-mans-land. Ok I get it. They were waiting also, but by now the majority of our party is almost 1/2 of the way through their food. We started sharing with the person without - which was fun - but just not the experience we expected. A bit more time passes and we finally get the last meal. I guess they had confused the last order with our to-go order. Well, the rest of the experience was pretty standard. Will we go back, sure, we expect problems like this. One of the issues was simply the wait staff taking the order did not verify the orders after they left the kitchen, and the other was that the wait staff was not one of the people bringing out the food. This stuff happens all the time, so we really did not get to bothered by it - except during that waiting time. All the food was wonderful. We will be back regardless of...
Read moreSo my fiancée and I decided to stop in for some dinner around 5 o’clock on Monday April 11th I believe. We were greeted by a nice young gentleman at the door. He sat us kind of in the back where there were a couple of tables that were occupied at the end of the section. Upon walking to the booth we noticed a huge tear in the seat and the table was sticky. But we decided to give the restaurant a chance because it was an old restaurant.
Our waiter came and took our drink order while we decided what to eat. At this point there was about four servers talking with the people in the booth behind us. After our drinks were delivered to our table, the waiter took our order. The servers and manager were still conversing with them, is at the end by the window. We ordered two salads still at this time nobody has brought us any rolls, or acknowledged us in any other way. I asked the young gentleman at the door if we can get some rolls and he said that he would check on it. A few minutes later or waiter came by and told us that they were in the oven and it will be a few minutes. At this time other servers were delivering rolls to the other tables, except ours.
While we waited and waited I noticed a lady in a gray shirt I am assuming was a manager, deliver food without a tray. She was holding the plates of food against her shirt. Which left a stain on her shirt. I also witnessed another server do the same thing. Working in the food industry it is a rule that you must a tray when carrying plates of food. Then she did it again.
There was also another family that was seated at a table and chairs in the middle of the restaurant. They were actually waiting for the booth behind us and ended up cleaning their own table.
After about another five or 10 minutes, a waitress, came out with a tray full of baskets with rolls. She handed them out to everybody except for us. At this point we just couldn’t eat at your establishment.
At this point we had to get...
Read moreI forgot to take pictures because I was with my parents and other family for some birthday's. We got there around 6. Not overly busy. The waitress was amazing. Very sweet and attentive. They brought a thing for me to put my baby's car seat on so I didn't have to put her on the ground. Food came quickly enough but I was rather disappointed. Fries were salty but bland, my 6oz sirloin was burnt on one side. Not browned...black black burnt. Overall seasoned. Literally drowned in seasoning it was overwhelming. Garlic mashed potatoes were ok i guess. I could have made the same thing at home. Over priced for what it was. My 3 year old on the spectrum liked the Mac and cheese and he ate a few fries. Husband had a 9 oz sirloin and didn't complain about it but he never does. He did complain about the house salad he got as a side. Didn't come with much on it. A bit of tomato and onion and cucumber with some ranch. Best little roadhouse on commercial has way better side salads. With better flavor. The strawberry lemonade was ok a bit sour. Rolls were okish. Restaurant was also overly dark. Bathroom was ok. Restaurant is wheelchair friendly with accessible entrance and restroom. Didn't have an issue with my son on the spectrum or a crying baby. Staff was great. No complaints there. Oh! And my mom got the 16 dollar regular everyday burger and my sister got the kids meal burger. They first brought the burgers as 2 kids meals. We correct to say one is an adult meal. They basically just put it on a bigger plate and added lettuce to my mom's. They were the exact same size so rip off there. Considering the kids meal one was...
