The Country House — Local services in Salisbury

Upon entering the store I was a little skeptical. I was overwhelmed with many racks and shelves that had scented candles, which isn't good for an asthmatic like myself, and I couldn't see past that area making me feel a bit clostraphobic. However, I decided to continue into the store and I am glad I did. They have an incredibly large store that is literally packed from one end to the other, floor to ceiling, with everything you can imagine to decorate and accent your home. You can get exquisite furniture and then outfit it with accessories all the way down to your place mat and coffee mug or tea set. You can cover your windows with curtains or drapes and accent that with stained glass window dressings. I ended up purchasing a few things and would recommend all to check out this store as I'm sure you won't regret it. When you do go, be sure to check out their outlet as well because there are some really GREAT deals for some odd pieces they have.

I did give them only four stars because of two things. I never lost that feeling of being closed in and they are a bit overpriced. But, keep in mind that you get what you pay for and they do have QUALITY items many of them handcrafted. So, all in all a great store that I highly recommend you visit a couple times because you won't be able to see everything...

I have been going to The Country House for many many years. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I purchased several pairs of curtains. When I went to put them up, they were uneven. So when I went back a few weeks later, I only had 1 packaging to exchange the curtains. I didn't want to return, just exchange for an EVEN set of curtains. You would of thought it was the end of the world. All the old ladies working there were all staring at each other, making comments. It was absolutely ridiculous. I was in that store for over an hour ...all for an EVEN set of curtains. Morgan did try and help me tho. I will NEVER step foot into that place again. I promise I will tell every person I know that shops there NOT to. All over trying to exchange for an EVEN set of curtains. The worst group of woman I have ever met!!! To anyone considering buying curtains there DON'T...UNEVEN and to top it off, they put my UNEVEN curtains back in the package and put them back on the shelf for someone to get uneven curtains. Great business...

I found this store while searching for some rustic themed stores and I was not disappointed! This store is packed to the brim with nic-nacks and essentials to make any home feel cozy! It has a large selection of themed wall decor to choose from and tons of place setting essentials for any dinning room. But also has great little treasures to give rooms a nice personal touch. I myself bought a cute rustic looking lantern and old style window frame that I hope to turn into a multi-picture frame! Great service too! They have baskets or they can store things behind the counter in named bins for you so you don't have to walk around with arms full of all the stuff you find. 😁 Bathrooms and fitting rooms are on site.
