This is by FAR the best Latino restaurant in Salisbury. I love its authenticity, the drinks, the atmosphere it's great for friends or to bring your children because it is noisy with conversation and Spanish music. They hand make the guac here it is a must if you visit this restaurant! They make hands down the BEST chicken quesadilla I have ever eaten EVER they put onions and peppers and the way they season it with some sauce too it is absolutely amazing I wish I could replicate it at home. I always get the faijita for two when I come, they are not shy on the portion either! I get the 101 Texan faijita it comes with chicken steak and shrimp, the seasoning is incredible, the plate comes sizzling and you get two plates of sour cream tomatos beans lettuce guac Spanish rice and a choice of corn or flour tortillas. They have such a variety of meals from chalupas to kids menu items with hot dogs they really cater to all cravings here. They have special sodas that are fun to try and the margaritas....so good! Did I mention there is pool tables on the second floor? This place is great for couples families groups teams business or parties. I choose this place over others because honestly they're service is great, no it's not five star furniture and dining but that's what makes me feel more comfortable, I love the authenticity and all the flavors as soon as your sit down you have two choice dips with chips, people are constantly checking on you throughout your time there. You are greeted as soon as you walk in and someone always says thank you have a great night on the way out. Prices are not bad at all especially for the proportions. Not once have I had a bad experience here in fact some of my favorite meals were on a random Thursday night late when usual places would slack on weekdays the cooks here do not. Which impresses me so much that I took the time to write this review. So If you are thinking Mexican... Or drinks la tolteca is the...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I have made La Tolteca our go to spot in Salisbury. I could rave about this place for hours but let me just go over some quick highlights. The chips are always fresh, the salsa is always delicious, and the white sauce is a delicious dip as well. The wait staff is always fantastic we have had numerous waiters and waitresses here and every single one of them is very attentive, very fast and more than happy to help make sure you have a great visit. The food is such a good price and such a good quality, whether you're going for lunch or dinner, getting a special or not, getting drinks or not, it always is a good deal. Their frozen strawberry margaritas are amazing and are something we get very regularly and are always consistently great quality. We are particular fans of their quesadillas, and their enchiladas but everything else we've sampled on the menu has also been really good. Their lunch specials are excellent deals whether you get the lunch special price during the specific times or just as a dinner. The turnaround time is very quick so if you need to do a quick meal, it is never taken more than 10 minutes from ordering food to get it. Do not forget dessert here, their churros are literally to die for and are served with a fantastic cream to dip into! We love La Tolteca and are always ready to come back...
Read moreThis is the first time my wife and I have eaten here in probably 10 years. We didn't really experience any problems but I guess it just comes down to what you really like. I love their chips and salsa and it is my favorite thing at this restaurant. I ordered the Carnitas and my wife ordered one cheese enchilada and a side order of Spanish rice . The food came out quickly and my wife realized that they gave her two cheese enchiladas instead of the one that she ordered. The Carnitas were on a big plate with lots of pork and they come with some refried beans, Spanish rice, and some pickled jalapenos. I was really hoping the jalapenos would be freshly cut but they weren't so I did not eat them. Their Spanish rice is different then what we are used to as it contains pieces of corn and peas but it's not bad. When we got the bill we were hoping she would not be charged for two enchiladas since she only ordered one but that was not the case. We didn't say anything and just paid for it. As I said in the beginning it comes down to what you like and I think Plaza Tapatia's food is much better. You may not get as much pork with your Carnitas but I think it tastes better and I feel there Spanish rice tastes better as well. I'm not saying we won't go back but if we do it will be just for beer and...
