This place is very dishonest and deceiving. I went in to browse and ended up buying a couple things. I briefly spoke to one of the owners, Linda, about selling antiques to her. She said she only marks her things up 15% from what she paid which I thought was very fair so I decided to try it out. Two days later I came in with 6 vintage safety razors and was told "these are nothing special," and then offered 5 bucks a piece. When I brought it to her attention that she had two of my razors already and was asking $40 for one and $45 for the other she said, "that's my offer." If she only marks her stuff up 15% then that means she planned on selling my razors for 5.75? I DOUBT IT. So I was blatantly lied to and then taken advantage of some more.
I ended up purchasing 5 things from them, all straight razors. While is part is also on me (caveat emptor) I purchased several straight razors ranging from $15-45, only to discover the same razors (in better condition) online for $10!!!!!!
They put on a good mom and pop show so you trust them but DO NOT take your antiques here and DO NOT NOT NOT NOT buy ANYTHING from them without doing your research. I could have purchased a dozen nicer razors online for the same price.
I'm certainly never stepping in here again and will dissuade all of my collector friends from ever stepping getting taken advantage of by this place like I was.

This story is not true/ "facts" were assumed or omitted by the owners. I was given $40 credit for the ammo I brought in, not $50 like they said. Unless of course they're manipulating their receipts for the IRS for tax reasons? WORTH INVESTIGATING if you ask me. On that same note, they sell that ammo for $25 a box, so given that I sold 4 boxes to them at $10 a piece, this is another blatant example of the pure dishonesty I mentioned earlier. It's worth noting that one of the 4 boxes was partially full, however they still didn't give me ANYWHERE NEAR the 85% I was lead to believe which brought me to attempt to sell my stuff in the first place.
Second, it's negligent to assume and claim that I was simply researching for 30-45 minutes on my phone as I did not look them up or discover how insanely overpriced they were until i got home. AND I've already faulted myself on that note (Caveat Emptor). But it's very unprofessional for the owners to say that when they have no idea and are in fact, wrong.
On the note about the soap on the razors. "Caked" is an extreme over exaggeration. When the female owner originally said she'd have to spend time cleaning them, I then offered to clean them and bring them back to which she replied: "It wouldn't make much of a difference."
As far as a razor being exceptionally clean, (keep in mind my razors simply has some thin white soap on them, NOT DAMAGED OR ABUSED BY ANY MEANS, I still have these razors and can send anyone pictures to prove this if they like) I highly doubt that warrants them being worth 12.5% of what they are charging.
Regarding their right to buy and sell items they choose at the price they choose, I agree with them and that's not what I'm arguing. I'm upset about the sheer dishonesty I was shown right to my face, money manipulated out of me, and lies told to you post-facto.
I firmly stand by my opinion that this is a dishonest establishment with customer service older than the "antiques" they are selling. Perhaps if you wanted to redeem yourself to the reputation gained by the likely commonly dissatisfied customer (only I'm one of the few with who is technology savvy and SEES the importance of taking much of my personal time to share my story with the public so they can avoid these situations), you could address my poor experience in a much more professional way than essentially calling me a liar and fabricating your own story.
In the meantime, I will do as much in my power to consciously and effectively steer people away from this...
Read moreSO I recently became aware of these guys, passed them I don't know how many times in my life. What I didn't realize is they specialize in antique firearms and military antiques. How cool is that? I've spent several hundreds of dollars there and have not once regretted a purchase. I drop in now and again just to say hi :-) Friendly folks, awesome collections for sale and the prices are always just good, no need to try and haggle! The other cool part is if I ever want to sell anything, they're there ready to appraise and buy or even put on...
Read moreCame across a WW2 sword I was interested in buying at a local shop in Alabama, wasn't able to come to an agreement with the owner on a fair price. I was able to find the same sword in better condition using this store's online site. Spoke with one of the owners, Steve on the phone early that morning. He was very nice and knowledgeable. Steve was able to sell the item at a reasonable price and shipped it out that same day. Will be recommending this store to...
