Sonjhae Asian Market — Local services in Salt Lake City

Very small Myanmar market that carried a surprisingly wide variety of products. They had some good rare produce including agati flowers, lotus flowers, small shallots, lemongrass. Lots of southeast Asian produce that is harder to find elsewhere. I appreciated seeing the wide variety of products and thought that the prices were fair and not too expensive for its rarity. I mean, the lemongrass was $1 for the bundle! They also have frozen meats and foods which I didn't look in too deeply. Even have southeast Asian style knives, brooms....

This was my first visit. They had a great selection of products and were very knowledgeable when providing recommendations. I was looking for a Korean ramen, and I got exactly what I wanted. It was flavorful, spicy, and authentic. I’ll be back again soon. Note that purchases totaling less than $5 are cash only; otherwise they accept cards....

Friendly staff, good selection of treats and goodies, as well as basics. Homemade treats as well as lychee pop rocks and other flavors! When I couldn’t find what I was looking for the nice woman at the counter was more than happy to help, and also helped me learn more about the homemade treats they sell. Will definitely return now that I know...
