I just want to begin by saying that I completely support any company and their guidelines that allow them to comfortably stay open during this pandemic. We’re all trying to maneuver through this situation, and each business is different. Although, if I am trying to support your business and follow your guidelines, the least I ask for is respect which I felt I did not receive when I returned back to Vantage on their opening day. With that being said, I followed their Instagram account closely throughout the pandemic and the minute they posted that they were open with restrictions I grabbed my mask and headed over. During quarantine I happened to drop 2 sizes and practically needed an entire wardrobe, in fact I had the intentions of purchasing quite a lot and because of that I wanted to support local businesses as much as I could. Obviously, when you drop that much weight you’re starting from scratch on what fits your body so I had to try things on and even though there were 7 people at most, including the employees, and the max was 10 people I felt like I was being a nuisance for asking for a dressing room. I tried on a total of 14 items, holding onto 4. I was in the store for roughly 30 minutes, 2 hours before close, with again maybe 6 of us total in there when I was told I would no longer be allowed to try things on and that there were too many people in the store. In fact, it made enough of a scene that somebody came up to me after and asked if they were allowed to stay in the store or not. I felt so uncomfortable and singled out that I just went straight to checkout and purchased the 4 items I was holding onto. I understand that maybe it was frustrating that I wanted to try things on, but I also want to note that I felt uncomfortable from the first time I asked for dressing room to the minute I was asked politely to leave. I understand that you have guidelines and that you have to be extra precautious during these times. But, I also want to say that if the employees had the knowledge that I was intending to spend $1000+ or that I looked like someone of status that I wouldn’t have been treated differently, or be asked to leave. I followed all of the Vantage posts regularly, when anybody came to visit me from out of town we would stop by the store, I took my siblings to shop for back to school clothes here and based off my interaction coming back I don’t think I will shop here in the future. I wish the best for this company during these times and appreciate the support and experiences that I had...
Read moreI have only rated a business five stars very few occasions. I can count them on one hand with over 50 reviews left reviewed online. Three stars great service 2 Stars expected service four stars amazing service and five stars you just don't see but definitely vantage vintage gets 5 stars unquestionably. It is obvious the owner cares deeply for the shop and especially it's inventory. The inventory you can tell has been selected painstakingly selectively thoughtfully tastefully perfectly for a great shopping experience unique in many ways I have just listed. From the inventory shown on the sales floor you can gather that whoever chose these items for sale has a very trained eye for vintage clothing. I love how they focus on some of the top name brands that are iconic two different eras in time. Separated decade to decade both men's and women's clothing Sean are in good condition, the sales floor has plenty of room to shop and there is a flow to the store making it easy if you everything offered you don't have to zigzag across the store or circle around many times looking for what you want because there is a nice center island Sexton the walls are lined with the great clothing. It's unfortunate that it is a little expensive and I didn't have enough money to purchase everything that I wanted but I can realize that I wanted the whole store eventually I settled on a nice pair of jeans that fit great I was able to try them on in the fitting room availableI believe the era of the gene from what I was told and from what they look like was from the 80s cool because I am a child of the eighties I also left with 2 sweater jackets one is a track suit top from Adidas blue and Gray as well as a nice grey white and blue Nike jackets I felt the pants were too expensive I also felt the jackets where to cheap and so it equaled out perfectly so I left feeling as though I had gotten a good value for my money I'm glad that the owner took all of the time to hunt down these amazing clothes because I don't think personally I could have found what I wanted if I looked in 20 thrift stores... The value is in the time say the quality of the items and the value felt in shopping there, the only thing I would add is a kitty cat to guard the front door. Tons of fun the store wasn't too large and so I was in and out in an hour. Obviously the cream at the Vintage top is concentrated here at vantage vintage. Definitely the perfect place to stop before or after dinner during a date at trolley square....
Read moreI’ll start by saying the selection is wide and the clothes are nice, but overall won’t be returning. The clothes were very overpriced, even for said “vintage” items. Priced as though they were brand new or even marked UP from original price. Many items seemed very used, worn, and some even had obvious damage, yet the prices remain. I know the difference between vintage and thrift, and this is leaving definitely towards overpriced thrift store. I’m all for small businesses but honestly it’s not worth it. And that’s just the beginning. My friends and I felt singled out and very uncomfortable. Maybe because we look young, but the employee seemed annoyed with us. Not only were they on their phones the whole time, but they kept giving us “dirty” looks. I’ll give a few examples. My friend found a really cute dress. It was from a rack where the dresses were priced anywhere from $20-$38. None of them were above that. When my friend brought a tagless dress to an employee to ask the price, the employee looked over the dress, looked at my friend, went and looked at all the dresses and came back and seemed really annoyed and said “$45?” And my friend felt very awkward declining and said she’ll leave that item out of her purchases. Then the employee sat behind the desk and tagged the dress as $45 while my friends and I were waiting at the checkout counter. After finally finishing, she just kept poking around the desk ignoring us. Then a man came up to purchase something and she welcomed him forward in to cut us and checked him out. That made us pretty upset but we waited for her to finish with him, hoping that now she helped out someone else out she would be willing to help us. However, after the man walked away, she ignored us once more and started poking around pushing random buttons on the iPad behind the front desk. We use the same checkout iPads for my job and there is nothing to do one there except check people out. She was simply poking around to seem busy. After a long time of this, she finally looks up and seems annoyed and says “Oh do you need help?” We checked out and left very uncomfortable. I will note, the man who helped us out in the dressing room was a little nicer, but overall, save your money and your pride and just go...
