Horrible customer service….especially considering the astronomical price that they charge per night. The room was visibly not properly maintained and cleaned, and you could see that it has been that way for some time. The once charming and cute room decor items were dusty and sticky leaving us afraid to even touch anything. Gave them several chances to address the problems we were having during our stay, but they continued to be a huge disappointment. Room service never got our order correct and we were served the wrong, cold and horrible tasting food. Our room was not serviced/cleaned when we left during our first day, not to mention that the supplies in the room were not enough for even a one night stay. We let them know and requested that they at least drop off towels and replenish toiletry items and to take out trash. We were told that they would bring our items right up, but after multiple requests and waiting over an hour, we were forced to walk all the way down to their front desk to retrieve and carry up all the items without any assistance or apologies for their lack of service. During our stay there was a problem with one of the electrical outlets that posed a huge fire risk. When we brought the issue up to them, they dismissed us and told us that their maintenance repair person was not working that day and there was nothing they could do about it, which left us with no option other than to continue to stay in a room that was unsafe at a minimum, but would have the potential to have them shut down should we have reported them. Instead, my husband was forced to fix the problem temporarily so that we could have enough light for the room. The room was very poorly maintained, leaving several safety hazards, including the wood stairs that had several steps that were missing the required anti-slip strips to make it safe to walk on without slipping and falling down the stairs. We used their texting service to let them know of these problems and instead of them replying to our text, someone inadvertently sent us a text that was clearly meant for one of the other employees that said they sent someone to our room to fix the problems but that we never answered them knocking on the door, which was a blatant lie as nobody ever knocked on our door. When we called them out on the fact that they sent a text badmouthing us, they chose to ignore it and left us with nothing but frustration. Upon our arrival, we presented them with a gift card we had to put towards the cost of the room, we were assured they would apply that to our balance. After leaving, they charged us the gift card balance of over $100.00 to our credit card without our authorization. We have been loyal customers for 30+ years and really hate to leave a bad review. When we were checking out, we discussed all the problems we had with our stay in hopes that they would be resolved and at the very least, that there would be something resembling an apology to give us any hope that we would be able to come back for another stay that was actually an enjoyable experience & lived up to the years of positive experiences/memories we have had here. Not only did they do nothing to address the problems, instead they only gave excuses, ignored us and made us to feel that the problems we encountered were somehow the fault of ours. Given all these problems, i would be extremely disappointed and not satisfied with our stay had we went totally cheap on a hotel for under $100 night per room, but when you consider that we paid well over $389 per night, that is totally unacceptable! For that price, you would think that they would be at our beck and call and we would be treated with a clean, safe room and five star service from the staff there. The best they could do after we discussed the problems was to say that they couldn’t offer us any sort of compensation but that our concerns would be sent up to management and we would be contacted by them to address our situation. Imagine our surprise when we weren’t contacted with a solution, but rather were charged an...
Read moreWe’re from WY & had dr appts in Draper but are light sleepers & staying in a hotel is hard, due to the noise. We usually end up staying somewhere that has schools that run up & down the halls all night or next door to a crying baby almost every time. So we decided to stay here & just drive back & forth for the appts as it should've been nice & quiet since there's no kids, since Anniv Inns are meant for relaxing, quiet stays, which is why we choose them; boy were we wrong staying here! When we checked in they wouldn't let us use coupon bucks we rec from Logan that were good at any of their locations cuz they didn't list an exp date on them. It's not our fault the employees were not trained properly yet they refused to accept them even though we had earned them. 1st nt was Mysteries of Egypt & the room next door blared their tv until almost 11pm. You'd think being a former jail the walls would be thick...wrong! Then the ice machine around the corner made noise all nt & someone started filling up something large that took many trips, around 7am. We asked for brkf to be delivered at 9am, it was delivered at 9:12. Not a huge deal but an inconvenience since we had already now been up since 7am & got to sleep late, & not soundly, again due to the ice machine. The food was overcooked & cold. Bacon was lukewarm at best, the raspberry croissant & ham & cheese had burnt spots yet weren’t even warm when bit into. When we checked out we told them we had another res that nt for a different rm & asked if they’d let us know when it was clean so we could check in, instead of waiting until 5pm, as that is what Logan has always done & he said yes, he’d let us know before 3pm. They never called so we had to wait. Then it was Romeo's Retreat. About 5 minutes after check in I received a charge alert from my cr.card that they charged me over 3 times what they had charged the prev nt, so I went to the lobby & they entered my rate wrong & said they’d refund the diff in about 5 days! There's 1 room on the 3rd floor & of course it was above ours & they were line dancing or some’n as they stomped until well after 11pm. Our rm was adj to & overlooked the roof of the rest of the bldg & around 7am they started plowing the snow off the ROOF!! This went on for almost an hour!! We asked for brkf to be delivered at 8:30, it wasn't deliv until 9:10, 40 mins late. I called the FD at 8:50 & they said they were running a few mins late but it’d be there shortly, it still took 20 mins after that & again nothing was warm. Again, we had been up late & didn't sleep soundly, then woken up by a plow early in the morning!! We hadn't really slept in 2 nts, brkf was late both days, (an hour total), food wasn't warm, no apologies. We've been staying at Anniv Inns for about 20 yrs now, (majority of them in Logan due to the size of the rms). I think after this 2 nt stay we prob won't be staying at Anniv Inns again. There are numerous other places to stay. When the FD clerk asked how everything was, I politely let him know it was horrible & I was sad as Anniv Inn was my fav place to stay & after everything we went thru I could not recommend them anymore. We buy Anniv Inn gc’s in bulk (usually 5-10 at a time) & give to friends & family as gifts as well as to everyone we know getting married. I just can't do that anymore. I told him that I hope Anniv Inn gets back to the way they used to be & he said the only way anything will get to management is I had to post it on a negative Google review, which shocked me & showed the staff apparently didn't care about any feedback I had to give them, nor do they care about their customers, otherwise THEY would've made the notes & gave to management or asked if they could contact me, or something. Not just tell me to post a negative review. I did their emailed survey & still no reply back or even an apology. I spent over $500 for the 2 nts stay & we could've gotten better food, service & most likely sleep if we just stayed at a regular hotel; what a waste of time,...
Read moreNot what it used to be, we have stayed at anniversary inn 3 times, this is our second time coming to this location and all I can say is I wish we hadn't. When we checked in the two ladies were quite rude, we were the only guests and there were two check in stations, both clerks were ignoring us, so we walked up to the station on the left, the lady there didn't look up or acknowledge our presence, my husband said "Hi, we are here to check in." The lady from the right station started helping us, we were conducting our business diagonally over the counter, it was fine but not ideal. She never smiled or seemed pleased at all. We were informed that all the breakfast times were full between 8:00 am to 9:15 am, but we could pick any time before or after that, we chose 9:15. As we were finishing the paper work another couple arrived after us, the woman at the left check out counter, were we were standing, barks you need to move, at first we thought she was talking to the other couple, she said it again, you need to move, we realized she was talking to us. We picked up our luggage and awkwardly shuffled around to the other side, we only had to sign a paper and get a key which would have taken us less time than it did to move around the barrier with our suitcases, we signed the paper, tuned it in and the lady said "good night" not realizing that we never got our key, nor giving us any direction on how to get to our room. We had to ask for the key and then for directions. We were staying in the English countryside, the room was freezing, the bed was covered in Dust and everything looked like it was the same decor that my parents stayed in about 20 years ago. The only thing I can say was decent in the room was the jetted tub, it was two person wide so my husband and I could sit side by side. We watched a movie in our carriage bed, which was the most uncomfortable bed in my life! It was like laying on a plank, and there was a light blanket with a sheet, and as I said above the room was FREEZING! Even with the fire place and the thermostat turned up to 74 degrees. I cracked open the berry topped cheese cake, ate about half of it, and about 20 minutes later became violently ill, I spent the rest of the night running from the bed to the toilet, still FREEZING cold, and crying. I took the extra towels from the bathroom and used them like a blanket to help stay comfortable. Eventually around 5:30 am I was able to dose off. A knock on our door came at 8:50 am, my husband was in the tub so I got the food, it was earlier than requested by 25 minutes. I am not complaining about that because I was ready to get out of there. We had ordered a veggie fratata, a cheese and ham croissant, yogurt parfait, orange juice, apple, juice, and hot chocolate. I didn't eat any of it for obvious reasons, my husband ate mine, he said his Fratata was dry, rubbery, and felt like it came from the microwave, and the croissant was cold and soggy. After breakfast we got ready and left, we were out the door around 9:30. The lady who took our key was very pleasant, she greeted is with a gentle smile and wished us a good day. However, there was a man sitting behind her unashamedly asleep... I used to work graveyards at the admitting desk in a hospital, no matter how quiet and slow it got we were taught it is very unprofessional to fall asleep where people can see you. If you were caught you would get fired. Over all this was the most disappointing stay out of all the stays we have had at anniversary inn. I do not wish to return, it costs so much money for such a mediocre outcome. I honestly think I would have had better costumer service and had a better time bringing all my young children...
