Wow! The food quality has gone up! Finally they have mussels not drowning in mayo. ❤ Instead it's cooked with some yummy sauce and onions.🤤 Yum! That change alone will definitely keep me coming here. Was so excited to see that I had to get a full plate of that alone. Both noodle dishes were scrumptious, the crispy fried jumbo shrim were on point (I kept going back for more). Whatever they changed how they cooked the mushrooms was an amazing change, they were delicious!
Fried food was decent, but wasnt kept as freshly cooked so you didnt get that crispness to it (more heat lamp soggy, but still tasted good). Watermelon & oranges for dessert (plus load of other stuff) loved it! Peanut brittle was WAY too thick and your likely to break your teeth eating it, but the recipe was a tasty one (make your brittle a lot lot thinner please).
The crab legs were good but they didnt make enough, we were kinda left wanting and waiting (which is the whole reason we come here). Also would be nice if you had a heated thing of butter to go with it.
The vegitables tasted ripe and fresh and crisp. I especially loved the sliced cucumber. There was a seafood melody with calimari, shrimp, jalapeno, onion and something else that was a wonderful suprise from traditional all you can eat places, good job on that was really good. There was an imitation crab dish in this yummy creamy sauce that was extremely addicting and yummy.
Overall I'm excited to see they started cooking more food than just getting prepackaged food (and/or just had a bad cook before). You can taste the difference in better quality ingredients and actually cooking it correctly. It definitely was a more satisfying expierence because of this.
Thank you owner and cooks for producing higher quality food than in the past. I'm looking forward to coming back, need to see if you've upgraded the sushi. Filled up on everything else forgot to try sushi. 😆
Waitress went missing for awhile and I was extremely thirsty. Had to track her down to get a refill on my drink, but she was ok the rest of the time.
As far as atmosphere everything was clean & well kept. The music playing I enjoyed but may not be for an older crowd. Reminded me of some upbeat anime of sorts. Found myself feeling upbeat and energized.
Everything over all was a much better experience than I've had in the past only thing I'd change is how often you cook the fried food. Maybe do in smaller batches more often so the food doesnt go soggy under the heat lamp, and make the peanut brittle no thicker than about a peanut (otherwise your breaking teeth).
Other than that I recommend coming here. Good for families with kids of all ages, friends, adults,...
Read moreAverage Chinese Buffet.
It was my first visit to this buffet. I visited around 8:30pm, the buffet closes at 9:30 currently. Selection was decent, but not amazing.
Fried crab, crawfish, fried shrimp, fried fish and baked salmon were all on the buffet. I tried the beef and broccoli which was OK. I had the mongolian pork which was also just OK and also tried the chow mien which was lacking flavor and had some dry crunchy noodles in it.
I tried 3 of the 6 sushi rolls offered, including an avocado/cream cheese, an avocado/cream cheese/cucumber/crab, and a tempura roll with cream cheese and crab. None were overly amazing and were cut very thick.
What surprised me was the green beans, which was one of the last items I tried. I actually went back for more of this item. They were soaking in some type of oil that was filled with crushed garlic. They had amazing flavor and were some of the best green beans I've had anywhere.
Desert bar had many options, including an ice cream machine, pudding, 3 kinds of jello and assorted fruit and cookies.
My waitress came by several times, cleared plates right away, refilled my drink whenever it was halfway down, and offered very good service.
As for the restaurant as a whole, the selection was decent, service was good, but flavor was lacking on many items. I would consider returning here if in the area, but overall was not impressed. The price on the buffet was about average, $14 including...
Read moreI absolutely love this place, I have been going there for years, 4 years to be exact. I go over once a week to treat myself for my acadic accomplishments. The food is very delicious which I can recommend to any lover of Asian food. I use the place to study while I eat. I try to never stuff myself because I try to refrain from being a glutinous person but tend to come out with my belly just a little full.
The dinner items are good, salmon, clams, sweet pork ribs, seasoned shrimp along with crab. The shrimp and crab are a bit salty and by this I mean well seasoned (high for ones sodium intake), so if you have a heart conditions stick to about 2-4 shrimp and 2 to 3 crab pieces, they are very delicious, but high on sodium. I once ate 12 shrimp and my heart did not take it so well the following day. It's those sharp pinches you feel in your heart when your cholesterol and sodium is high. Watch your cholesterol and sodium intake when dining here and you'll be fine. Remember cholesterol is the fat in your veins and salt shrinks your veins.
They also serve crawfish, and sometimes the crawfish is better than other days. Pick the crawfish from the bottom to get the hottest. Finally they also have sushi, and someone who can make you fresh food at the bar. Good place for family...
