Today I went there to buy comfrey. There was a bunch of loud employees ganging up there. I asked one of them about Comfrey and she screamed: What is thatÇ : and they started giggling in a disrespectful way. Still I needed comfrey and I went to the greenhouse where I saw the sign above the comfrey containers and the posted price was $2.99. I decided to buy all the available containers which were 22 containers in total as I need it for my garden. When I came back to the cashier the four employees were still chatting loudly and they looked at me with dirty looks . I asked them to give me a carton to hold all the plants. They refused and one of them who was about 35 to 40 years old started arguing with me about that. I asked for the total to pay and leave. The cashier did not know the price and the older one among the employees said it is $3.99 which is for me a dishonest way to steal money from customers. The posted price was $2.99 and when it came to checking out they changed the price. I still need it so I accepted and took the plants ( it was raining and everything was wet ) to my car. I came back to the store and asked them what is the name of the manager during the week. They starting responding in a threatening way and a guy showed up and stated he was the manager. When I told him about how rude and unprofessional are his employees .He said that they are kids and we have a two generations problem here, insinuating I look old. Which is dumb for somebody designated by the owner of this business to manage this big store: Dumb for two reasons: In the USA , child labor is a crime and this poor fool tried to defend his not very young employees for being kids. It is either true and this is a crime and this place should be closed or this manager is covering up bad employees and refusing to address simple issues as not posting the right price and not giving a better customer service. Either ways , this manager and his employees are showing disdain and disrespect for customers who with their money make up their paychecks. I paid $70 and I got insulted. The other thing is that a business should be run to deal with customers of all ages: I am 44 years old and if the owner of this business allows his employees to practice AGEISM( segragation based on age) because they do not need the money customers bring in, then this place should be closed soon. This is not how business works. A customer is a customer and should be treated not based on the look or the age or how much he is going to buy. This place should be boycotted. Do not go there and give...

It is so hurtful, annoying, and disappointing when your favorite place lets you down. A place you are a fan of and support/follow on social media.

When visiting keep in mind that nefarious people go as well; cutting or breaking limbs off of plants to steal.

This causes some unique pots, some of them are the last on the shelves, to be mistreated or missing limbs - essentially harming the plant and reducing its overall value and appearance (marks and callused over breaks and scars).

Being a regular customer that buys something Every-time I visit (rare plant hunter) found a sad Plumeria who lost a full limb - All its cousins had 3 healthy limbs. It was the last unique color (Nirvana).

A “gentleman” who I assume is the manager was called and was told by a worker who went and checked than in fact it is the last one and all others have 3 limbs…

The dude cavalierly says that’s the prices. Period. Didn’t even look at me in the eye and called it an “old break from the vender.”

That is unlikely because how come the plant hasn’t recovered if it’s old?

Regardless the whole matter turned awkward for this regular costumer and the poor cashiers who were trying their best to have the interaction go well. Another customer had to chime in and calm the waters with friendly reassurances but they weren't enough.

I hope rainbow garden learns their audience better in the future and remembers the customers that regularly visit and are also experts in flora and fauna - instead of trying to make desperate quick bucks.

I give it a two star and not a 1 because of the fact that I absolutely loved going here Every weekend.

I think it’s time to entertain other business for a little bit. How...

I went into Rainbow Gardens today to purchase some Kale plants. The sign posted above the plants said small 6 pack 2.49 and super 6 pack 3.99. I picked up larger plants and went to cashier who promptly charged me 1.49 for each plant. When I told her what the pricing sign said she replied in a very condescending voice "these aren't a 6 pack" I said I didn't see the 1.49 sign and she replied sarcastic "this is the way we do it". My husband paid and I went back to get the sign to show her the pricing and when I returned she was lighting up a cigarette and proceeded to blow smoke on me as I showed her the sign. She said she didn't care about signage and just kept blowing smoke on me and this is all inside the front of their store. I ask her name and she said it was Sharon and I said I wanted to speak to a manager. She yelled out "Kathy" and I turned to go over where "Kathy" was but she was on the phone smoking away and ignored me. I went home and had to dry clean my clothes. So if you are allergic to smoke you best not go in there because 2 out of 3 sales people inside front store was smoking. Not to mention the rudeness and bait and switch pricing. I won't go back to this place, bad for your health not to mention the plants you purchase there have been...

I spoke to Taylor over the phone before going to Rainbow Gardens. After I explained to him what my problem was he informed me of what I needed to bring to him so that he could help me fix the problem that I was having in my St. Augustine grass. Taylor throughly looked at the samples of my lawn that I brought to him at his request (I'm glad he did because all I intended on bringing was pictures) and swiftly provided me with a number of solutions that I would not have thought of. He truly cared about my problem and offered a solution for me that I believe will work. He also gave me some pointers that I wouldn't have done if he didnt point them out to me. The lady at the front counter (I didn't get her name) was super polite and more than willing to help me. They've earned a customer for life with me. Thank you for the help. Keep up the good work!!!! **Update**(approximately 1.5 weeks later) Taylor correctly identified a problem in my yard and suggest a fungicide that worked great. He also informed me that I should add some liquid iron to the yard. I did exactly what he said and the results are amazing. Again, thank you Taylor and thank you Rainbow Garden for having such a knowledgeable staff. The lawn is still recovering but is looking much better.
