Horrible experience.
I called on Tuesday to place an order for a birthday cake to be picked up on Saturday, 8/2. I spoke with a woman who took my order over the phone. We agreed on a 10” ice cream cake with vanilla and chocolate layers, fudge in the middle, white icing, blue borders, and “Happy Birthday” written on it.
When I arrived to pick it up, the cake was nowhere to be found. The guy helping me checked the fridge at least five times and couldn’t find anything under my name or matching the description. Then he tried to give me a random cake from the fridge that looked nothing like what I ordered. I told him it definitely wasn’t mine.
Next, he brought out a cake under someone else’s name — Mae — which was slightly closer but still wrong. Finally, he pulled out a plain yellow and white cake and claimed that was mine.
I was trying to stay calm, but by this point, I was frustrated. Another employee came over and said, “Well, this is all we have, so this must be yours.” I explained — again — exactly what I ordered. This cake was plain, had no writing, no blue borders, and didn’t match what was discussed.
No one apologized. No one offered a solution. I was basically told to take it or leave it. I even pointed out how upsetting it would be if this cake actually belonged to someone else and they ended up with the wrong one too.
I had no choice but to take the cake since my event was about to start and I didn’t have time to go anywhere else. The guy wrote on it last minute, but again, no apology, no accountability, nothing.
This location is extremely unorganized, poorly managed, and clearly not paying attention to customer orders. I won’t be...
Read moreWent to drive thru at the 2252 Thousand Oaks #220, San Antonio, TX 78232-3900. Waited 5 minutes at the sign to order without a single person answering. Drove to window to voice my complaint was ignored by 3 employees who looked like they would rather be somewhere else. Spoke with Junior who still had no clue I had yet to even make an order. I explained to him that I am driving off because of the lousey service and going to sonic next door where I am spending my money. There is zero exuse to not acknowledge customers. With direct competition next door you would think they would atleast try. Extremely disappointed in this attempt to visit.

8 Months later thought I would give them another shot..
Guess what happened. Here is my email to the owner who has yet to respond.
"You may recall my email to you a few months back? I sat at the drive-thru window for 15 minutes waiting for the girl to "Be right with me".
I would like you to know I decided to come back and try your location again, guess what. Same exact senario played out. I told you last time that the girls at the window were standing around doing nothing (I believe you tried to give them the benefit of the doubt). They were huddled over each other not a care in the world about your business. However unlike last time I still made an order (At the window) and paid 35$ of the money I know I work hard for so that your employees could treat me with disrespect.
I also spoke with Junior again who remembers the last time I...
Read moreThe Dairy Queen is very poorly lit at night with absolutely no light in the drive thru even the menu board had no lights. I ordered a Reeses pieces blizzard and attempted to order a banana split blizzard but was informed by an extremely rude young woman that they were out of bananas. Ok. I had no problem with this it happens but I was unable to choose something else because the woman let out a very loud and heavy sigh of annoyance. I felt very rushed so I decided to just get the one blizzard. I then proceeded to waited 40 minutes because there were 3 cars ahead again no problem it happens but when it was finally my turn the woman was extremely rude she didn't greet me she just recited the amount owed and took the money when I handed it to her. She then turned the blizzard upside which was already beginning to melt and she handed it to me and closed the window without saying a word and before I could ask for a lid she walked away from the window. The blizzard was already soft and there was no lid on it. I worked for Dairy Queen about 10yrs ago and this type of behavior was unacceptable then and it still is. My manager never would've put up with such rude behavior no matter if we were having a rough night or not. And we were always advised to put a lid on the to go blizzards without even asking the customers if they wanted one or not.I will definitely not be returning to this location and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid this location...
