I unfortunately did not have a great experience as everyone else that went here. I dropped off the ring for resize on 12/12 with a 1 week turn around time on the ticket but the original jeweler told me to expect 2 weeks since he would rather under promise and over deliver. I completely understood and was not expecting the ring to be done for minimum of two weeks.

Two weeks past with no calls, I figured it was the Holidays and wanted to give them more time and wait for the third week. Closing in on the 4th week, I decided to give the store a call and was notified that the ring was NOT done and that they needed to confirm the metal before the ring can be resized. This was surprising to me as nobody had contacted me about this and did not receive ANY communication until I reached out to them. I asked why wasn't I contacted about this and the person said they don't know anything and this is the first time he saw the order and no further info was given. I explicitly said over the phone that I wanted the ring back and not to work on it due to the poor service and lack of communication I had gotten. After confirming that I was going to get the ring back, I had made efforts to go around town to other places and found a place that was going to resize my ring on same day for half the price they had quoted me and prepaid them to expidite the service.

When I arrived to the store to pick up my ring, the owner told me he had already took the liberty to resize my ring for me without my knowledge. I was very grateful that he was able to rectify the situation immediately and resized my ring but disappointed that my remark was ignored that I did not want it done and wanted the ring back in the first place due to the poor service I had described. Even though the owner had good intention, I wished this was communicated to me before the service was done as I wasted time and money looking for another jeweler. Now I have to get a refund of the new jewelry place as Red Tree also charged me the the resizing that I had asked them not to do

Before my proposal (which I didn’t know was coming at all), I made a comment about how I thought my hands looked a little bigger. It might’ve been due to the transitioning weather, or it could just be due to my stress eating! Who knows— I certainly did not!

Little did I know, this made him freak out on Monday. He called around everywhere trying to find the fastest turnaround time for a ring resizing. Everywhere had weeks of turnaround time. But not Red Tree— they prioritized his case and said it would be ready in three days! SOLD! The good news doesn’t stop there people… they called the next day with it being complete. AMAZING— mission accomplished, the ring will fit for the proposal on Thursday! Or so he thought….

Then came the proposal— THE RING WAS TOO BIG!

We brought it back to Red Tree to resize it smaller! And they measured my fingers (cause my fingers were present now) and deemed it needed to be smaller by just a QUARTER of a size… which, incidentally, WAS HOW MUCH HE RESIZED UP ON MONDAY! The original size was the correct one! (Whoopsies!!)

It was a good laugh and they were so kind to do it free charge. I brought it in and they said it would be done within two hours. (They actually finished it in one)!

While I was waiting, I talked to the other gentlemen that were there. Sam did my ring resizing and taught us the method of resizing. He does the resizing for rings and watches—steadiest hands Ive seen! Then there is a gentleman in the front that designs custom jewelry who knows lots about gems! Lastly, there’s a third gentleman who is a craftsman. He taught me a lot about different metal grades. I will probably come back to make a custom piece.

It is extremely obvious that these gentlemen love what they do for a living and have done it for such a long time. Their work speaks for themselves! Overall, I would rate mine and my fiancé’s experience, 10 out of 10! If you need anyone to resize your jewelry, I highly recommend this place! For years I’ve had 3 beautiful diamonds I stopped wearing because they just didn’t fit the person I am today. Every time I looked at them they represented my past. When I walked into Red Tree and spoke to Sean, I explained that I need them to represent the woman I am today. We discussed a ring that would hold my 3 diamonds and I wanted to add sapphires. Sean introduced me to Ceylon Sapphires. The most gorgeous sapphire in my opinion. An amazing cornflower blue. Sean did a rough sketch on what we discussed and already it was perfect on paper. I followed up with Gary, who’s the craftsman behind the ring. He gave me options on how the ring could look, traditional, modern, or somewhere in between. They gave me a number of Ceylon sapphires to choose from. And with their expertise, we chose the most beautiful sapphires to enhance my ring. Working with Sean and Gary was the result of true craftsmanship. When I picked up my ring, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of it.
