Took my laptop for a repair on Oct 28th 2021, They gathered information's about the issues and assumed it could be a OS issue which can be resolved quickly by re-loading a new OS.
I had to call them to get update next day and they told me it looks like a Hardware issues and still working to find it.
They called me on Oct 30th to tell that the Motherboard has a problem and need a replacement and ETA would be in next week.
They haven't called me until Nov 8th, so I had to call them to get the update again, this time they said Motherboard replacement done but now looks like a Battery issue and that will take another week to arrive.
I waited for another week but still no calls from them, so had to call again to get the update, they mentioned the laptop would be ready by 15th Nov. if not we will return (original state) by EOD.
I waited for their call till 4 PM on Nov 15th but no calls again and got frustrated, so walked into to store to check, They told the part that they were expecting wasn't delivered and don't have an ETA, so I said as you promised at least you can return my laptop in original state, but the technician told he is very busy with some other issues at the moment and the laptop would be ready by tomorrow morning 10 AM.
I waited for their call to confirm if my laptop is ready for pickup until 10:10 AM of Nov 16th but no calls again, so did my routine of calling to get the update and they finally mentioned its ready to pickup.
I had no intention to get my laptop fixed as quickly as possible, I know the shipping's are affected globally but the way they handled me was frustrating, out of several calls to them to get the status updates, they called only once to get the confirmation to place the order for Motherboard replacement other than that they never called me to provide any status updates. The way the technician told about he is busy on other stuffs' right now and can't work on to provide my laptop in the original state was rude. I felt like I haven't been taken care...
Read moreI got very lucky when I found this place. The guys in Roger's were amazing, and gave me great service, beyond my expectations. The battery in my Dell Inspiron 17 laptop began losing it's ability to hold a charge until finally, it just gave out. I called all over San Antonio looking for someone who could replace it at a reasonable price and timeframe, but everywhere I called wanted to charge me as much or more than the cost of the battery to install a new one. I even went to the Geeks at Best Buy, (who now supposedly do all of Dell's repairs), but they said they would need to ship my beloved laptop from Texas to Kentucky to have the work done! I was horrified at the thought so I kept calling around until a very nice young man at Roger's told me they could do the work within a week and the price was extremely reasonable. My laptop is like brand new now and I couldn't be happier. Look no further for computer, cell phone and electronics repair; you've found the right place. Thank you, guys! Y'all are amazing!
A couple of notes: Roger's is tucked back off the main street of Callaghan, sitting in the shadow of a Jimmy John's. The parking is tight but there is wheelchair accessible parking and entry. I am including some photos so you may more easily find the small store and assess the small parking lot. The guys at Roger's showed me my old battery which had begun to literally swell up and expand from it's manufactured size. They told me if I had waited much longer it could have swollen to the point of seriously damaging or destroying my laptop. They showed me someone else's old laptop battery that was much more expanded than mine and told me it had destroyed the laptop it was in. Read more5 stars is not enough to rate this business and my experience. Candido was a LIFE SAVER. This young man went above and beyond to help me with my issue, TWICE. First visited on Wednesday, Aug. 28th. I was needing a couple of wires soldered onto a small board. After I returned to pick up the part, he took it upon himself to repair the other 6 wires after realizing those were in bad shape. Unfortunately for me, this was not the issue with my machine. I called Candido back to give him more details about my issue and without hesitation, asked me to bring in my machine to take a look at it. He took the time to troubleshoot the issue and thank God he found it! This machine is used daily for work and he got me back in business, literally.
