The Industry — Restaurant in San Antonio

Great place to dance and they have a good DJ playing music and keeping up with the music videos. There were a lot of people there that night, but we weren’t packed in like sardines like other places I have been to; there was plenty of space to move around (and you KNOW I need a lot of space when I start movin’ on the dance floor LOL).

$5 cover charge to get in – not sure what time that starts but we rolled in after 10pm on a Friday. Great place to dance and a great crowd – mature and no one in there was looking for chingasos. It was very busy but not overly packed like similar places I have been in.

The only complaint I have is the difficulty of getting drinks. There were probably 150 people in there and they only had one bar with three bar tenders. If you are just after beer, I recommend ordering a bucket of beers (6 for $18 which is NOT a bad deal at all – do the math LOL). But if you have to keep going back to the bar for mixed drinks for someone, that is going to be a huge time-consuming event.

One last thing – they have some really strange dude dancing on a stage in front of everyone. I found this kind of weird and unnecessary (I hope they aren’t paying him LOL). Especially the couple of times where he stood there and checked his cell phone in the middle of a song. Their money would be better spent with this dude serving as a bar back or bar...

So glad I found this hidden gem. I went for an eighties themed night in conjunction with The Lost Boys (movie) & have been going ever since. First and foremost it's easy to get to, easy to park at and feels SAFE. Secondly they play the BEST music and THIRDLY (and most importantly) the crowd is a whacky diverse mix of locals and all sorts, that are all happy and friendly. It really makes you feel comfortable. West siders alongside older people and super young, they're all here, for the same reason; to have fun. And fun is had. It's a great deal price-wise, two dance rooms, one with some New Wave and Goth (fun!) and loads of people dressing wild for that, and the other is more 80's/90's. The DJ is excellent. Everyone is respectful of diversity so LGBTQ are safe and you can reserve a table if you're having a Bday party which is an awesome extra. I was so disappointed in this club. I guess I was expecting 80's & it's,but idk wat I was listening to. I recognized some artist but the majority of it i didn't. The DJ was repeating same songs. I think I heard same artist twice... I mite be old school , but come on that wasn't old school. I was expecting like Cindi Lauper,Madonna, AC/DC,Ozzy,Heart, OutField, Duran Duran, Cinderella, bestie boys, Bryan Adam's, Fleetwood Mac. Those are 80's. Not wat the "DJ"was playing.
