I had been going to this shop for about two years consecutively, I liked the marinated meat and taco meat. I like the products, it just lacks proper customer service for me which is why I stopped going unfortunately. I waited in line for about little over a hour and there were a group of males in front of me, and behind me as well. They were drinking while waiting in line and the owner comes and starts handing more beer out to them, which made me upset because you can tell they were already intoxicated and the owner kept giving them beers, which made me uncomfortable. The group of males behind me ended up cutting the line to be infront of me, which blew my mind even more because the owner came said nothing and kept giving them more beer. They kept bumping into me, which led me to leave the line even though I was already inside. Another day I gave it another shot since they said they would open early, I pre ordered for 6 am and they did have us wait outside for an hour because they were not ready to open, I had mentioned I pre ordered and still waiting got my order close to 7:30 a.m. I am upset because I genuinely enjoyed the marinade of meat and my husband did as well when he would buy from the owners home location, but definitely lacks...
Read moreBought 2 A-5 Wagyu Steaks for roughly 250 dollars (90 per lb and both steaks weighed about 1.5 each). Once purchased the young lady put them in an aluminum pan and covered it with clear wrap. I get home about 20 minutes later and removed them from my car. I get ready to vacuum seal the steaks and there was a pungent smell coming from the aluminum pan. I smell the steaks and they smell like they had gone bad. I immediately rinse the steaks because maybe my nose is tripping and all the meat in within inches of each other. I cooked one, and just as I thought my whole house smelled exactly like the pungent smell that was coming from the aluminum pan. My steaks were definitely bad and no where near fresh! I'm out 250 and have yet to experience wagyu because of the quality control of this meat market! Words for the wise either ask to smell the meat before purchasing or buy from a reputable...
Read moreWent this place for the first time and decided to try a little of each meat: the carne asada is delicious- it's juicy, tender and super flavorful, the chorizo is also good, it has a bit of a kick to it but great flavor too and the pork chops are tasty. The only downer was the chicken, I felt it was a little salty for my taste, but if you like your chicken super marinated you might like it. I like that they have a fridge area where you can get the basic vegetables and another area where you can shop for their unique seasonings. I did try a soft drink they carry called "ToniCol", and it was like nothing I have ever tasted before, I highly recommend to try over some ice. The customer service was also good, the ladies were welcoming and friendly. I'm so glad I finally found a good carniceria that is less than 10 minutes...
