Customer service is NON-EXISTENT at this location, ESPECIALLY WITH ZAK who is the Membership Director. UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH HIS WORD. Zak does not care to ensure retainment of memberships of loyal and long term members. I signed up for this gym before it even opened while it was still under construction and have remained extremely loyal.
On 9/26, I notified the staff that WiFi was out at this location, spoke to front desk personnel who ensured me it would be taken care of the following day on 9/27. I came back to the gym on 10/2 and it was still out. Spoke to Zak who said he would talk to district manager Jessica regarding the situation. I asked him to follow up with me on 10/3 and he called and told me everything would be taken care of by 10/4.
Came in on 10/8, absolutely no change. Spoke to Zak again and he was extremely unprofessional. When voicing my frustration with the lack of follow through, he did not look at me or make any sort of eye contact while I was talking. All he did was look around the gym and kept staring at his computer screen inputting information for new memberships. He clearly did not treat me as a valued customer. I have been coming to this location longer than he has been membership director and this was a huge slap in the face. After I left his desk, he turned to the employee next to him and laughed and obviously did not want to deal with the problem I made him aware of on three separate occasions. He also spoke negatively about me making him aware of this situation.
I asked him to follow up with me regarding the situation the next day on 10/9 and he did not. I called corporate who got in touch with the district manager, Jessica, who followed up with me the same day. I asked if Zak spoke to her as he told me he would and she said that he did not. Which tells me he is not capable of doing so as he does not care to. He has not followed up with me at all and it is now 10/12. Walked into the gym today and WiFi is still down. This is now three weeks and three separate conversations with no change. Very frustrating to be treated in such a manner and in such a...
Read moreWhen I walked in there's not even a welcome and the guy in front desk was on his phone. I planned on applying to this gym because it's near where I work so I planned on checking out the place and gets a feel of it before committing to pay for a membership. So a friend recommended me to get a 5 day pass (free membership for 5 days) and before I can even get a tour of the gym or just gets a feel for the gym atmosphere. The sale employee press me to commit on paying for memberships and I told her that I would like to get a feel of the gym first before paying for anything and that I would like to take this opportunity by redeeming my 5 days pass. Instead of respecting my decision on registering me for a 5 days pass. She keeps on persisting me to pay for the membership and keep my 5 day pass, in which I declined. She then says I can get my refund within 5 days if I don't enjoy the gym (which sounds really sketchy to me from the reviews I saw there's a couple of people not getting their money back) so again I declined. She then gave me the stink face and told me to go check/try out the equipments and comes back to her when I made up my mind. I just left and signed up for Chuze Fitness instead. They got great customer service, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, movie theater, smoothie stands etcs. Employees doesn't press me for membership when I came in. Instead they gave me a tour of the place first and Oh! and they gave me a 7 days guest pass when I asked for it and their membership is far cheaper from this place. Guess where I'll be...
Read moreThe gym is okay. I enjoy free weights but feel there is not enough lighter dumbbells and they lock the ones in the studio so nobody can use them. They don’t have any space or equipment to do functional training, especially when it is crowded.
I hate that the dumbbells are ALWAYS a mess and all over the place at this location. I try to place things in their proper spot, but it’s hard with everything is wrong. I worked for a gym for 3 years and had roughly 700 members per day come in. I would pick up after the occasional person who did not rack them properly, and it made it a lot better for the rest of the members (Most of them put things in the right place, if the spot is open.) I think if the staff got up sometimes and organized them occasionally, it would make a HUGE difference.
I feel like this is the smallest LA fitness I have ever seen, which seems weird because there are no other gyms in the area unless you drive to Rialto or downtown San Bernardino. Every time I go, there is also quite a bit of people. They must have enough members to support a bigger facility here.
I’ll attend this one because it’s close and convenient, but really wish it...
