My Dad first brought me here when I was like 9-10 years old back in like 96-97.
Of course being a little kid I enjoyed it for a short time before I'd ask "is it almost over?" or "can we go now?" of course my Dad's responses "wait" or "yeah it's almost done".
Fast forward to now where I absolutely LOVE racing! All forms of racing too! Whether it be NASCAR, INDYCAR, F1, MotoGP, NHRA, Sports Car Racing, Etc. Etc. Little did I know I would grow up to love racing to come back to this place and catch as many races as I can.
I do this to honor my late father's memory and keep the memory and tradition alive by coming to these local tracks with my own family now kind of where it all started and share it with the kids, maybe one day they'll have the exact same memory as I once did.
Even more so with the uncertainty of the Auto Club Speedway, I make more of an effort to support the local tracks even more because one day just like Riverside International Raceway or Ontario Motor Speedway, they're gone. It's also cool to see local people compete for a lot it's a hobby that grew into a passion and to share that with other spectators it's great! Love that it holds that distinction of being the only track in the country to be in continuous running since 1947! Crazy! Love to hear that my local track here has that fact! Lots of history here! Would love to see the ARCA Menards Series make a return down here again!
Prices aren't bad either to get in, $15 per adult and I think $10 for the kids, affordable local racing fun! We gotta support our local tracks, come...
Read moreIf I could give it a zero I would we were scammed by this place at a 2x monster truck event not the events fault but this venues fault !!!!! This event could have been fun but venue was terrible no parking the line to park was hours long. (We ended up parking at the mall for free glad we followed some locals and didnt wait in the insane line to park we would have missed the show) then it only got worse. No food at the venue just a couple food trucks with insane lines there is only a few bathrooms for 1,000s of people. We paid for fan zone you pay for the reserved seats they didn't regulate it and keep general admission seperate. they didn't scan tickets so people could just screen shot tickets so there wasn't enough seats they didn't reserve the seats for the extra money so to me thats fraudulent. It was in a Super sketchy area and they had no metal detectors or wands they were just feeling up on the guys only.... it was all super weird like a fever dream. The worst thing tho was they didn't even put enough dirt down for the trucks and the venue was too small for them to get speed to do anything. Not worth it. We got scammed I looked up this event at other venues and it has full dirt and looked way better and had more trucks. This venue was literally the worst I have ever been too 2x please fix this and never go back to orange speedway. Someone needs to...
Read moreI have been coming to this race track for quite some time now. I've only have ever heard wonderful things. Until today. My husband has raced for YEARS! He has raced at this track multiple times with the SAME BODY of the car. They have always let him race. He'll they let him race with me while I was on the track st the same time. Well today they singled him out. They told him that his body wasn't up to par and they had magically changed the rules out of no where. Nope. This track has now picked favorites. They tried to make it out to look like the rules have changed after covid. When in reality of it the rules were never even up in the first place. I will never look at this track the same. They have not only lost two good racers but they lost people who would take the drive to go race there, because keep in mind we drive over 3 hours one way to get there in the first place. It's sad when people start picking favorites and coming up with absurd excuses to not let someone race. Well we will live to race...
