On a lunch date 09/28/17 at around 3:30 Service was great... well there was only 3 people at 2 tables. And one walk in customer with a to go order. The place was tidy and vintage looking I happen to enjoy the vibe. On arrival I back flashed on the movie 'A Christmas story' where the family ends up having their Christmas dinner very cool. The other female customer was crying I couldn't help but notice there is a mirror.. we all could see each other even 3 tables apart.. kinda unerving. My handsome gentleman and I enjoyed samplings the 2 dishes it was a double servings on one plate. We were given 2 smaller plates to serve our selves. I would've preferred 2 individual larger separate plates of food so as to not to have to slide a serving onto the smaller plates... The food was just okay. I guess that I just prefer cheep Chinese takeout missed my teriki chicken...4 stars because of the yummy company that I was with and the whole vibe of the place and the owner was very gracious when I returned to get the togo box I had forgotten at the counter when I got a toothpick. Felt bad about cuddling with my date while someone was watching and crying....Will pick a different table away from mirrors wherever I eat...
Read moreThis is the worst restaurant my husband and I have ever bought food at. We ordered shrimp egg foo young and my Hundred husband ordered a vegetable dish. When we brought it home the first bite was absolutely horrible. It tasted like vinegar gone bad had been used to cook the egg foo young. It was the worst taste I've ever had in my life. When I call to talk to them about it to get a refund they absolutely refuse to give me a refund even though I told them I'd bring the food back. I ask for the manager they started talking to me in Japanese or Chinese I'm not sure which because I don't speak anything other than English. They were extremely rude or loud and bully-ish.p I was so concerned with them selling food that was spoiled that I called the health department to check on them following standard practices and policies in the kitchen because I don't think they are. ThisThis is not out of vindictiveness this is because my husband has a degree in culinary and nutrition and even he tasted it and said there's something extremely wrong with this meal. So I'm having them investigated and I will never go back there again it was my first experience there...
Read moreI have only eaten here once in the past and I dare say it will probably be the only time I ever eat there. I had a takeout order about a week ago. And even though I had called in my order and waited for 15 to 20 minutes before going to the restaurant, it took almost 20 minutes more when I got inside to get my order. Not only that but there was a line of people waiting for takeout orders, possibly some of them delivery drivers. Regardless, my order consisted of orange chicken (which was decent), eggrolls which were very good, chow mein which I love, sautéed broccoli it was delicious, but then there were these dumplings… Which I don’t know what they were made from but I have never tasted fried dumplings like that before! It was some kind of chewy substance that I could not identify. I also got an order of the spicy fried shrimp, which was so spicy you needed to have some milk standing by. Also the breading was so thick it almost made me sick. The steamed rice was just that-white rice. So out of six items that ran me over $70, my family and I were able to eat only 2/3 of the meal... which doesn’t equate to a very good deal...
