From the very beginning, Arlene made us feel like family — we kept saying over and over that she felt like a cousin we’ve known forever. Her warmth, kindness, and unmatched patience made what could have been a stressful process feel easy, comfortable, and even fun.

We worked with Arlene over multiple days, and she never once made us feel rushed. Instead, she encouraged questions, explained everything clearly, and took the time to go above and beyond — even doing research and work she didn’t have to, not just for us but for others too. She sat through long meetings with us, helped us explore every possible option, and was incredibly honest and transparent every step of the way.

One thing I absolutely have to mention is how insanely fast everything shipped! Arlene got things done practically overnight — it blew our minds how efficient and on top of everything she was. She truly made the entire process seamless from start to finish.

The quality of their products is top-notch, and the care and heart behind this family-owned, woman-owned business is truly rare. I’ve lived in Millbrae for over 30 years, and I’m honestly sad I just now got to meet Arlene — but I’m so grateful I finally did.

Great local family business that goes above and beyond. We have been shopping in their store for years. From locks to home improvement items they have many unique items that you can't find anywhere else. Arlene helped us from the start of our recent bathroom project. She helped us with examples, demonstrations, and eventually design. Laying out measurements and little drawings that completed our master plan. We had a few small issues from her suppliers, not her fault, and she solved all the issues. No problem.

Funny aside, I came to them some years ago with a unique antique part I did not really want to restore. After looking at the part, I was told to go home, put some elbow grease on it and restore it. New parts are as good as the old parts. Turns out, that as the best advice and it still looks great on...

Arlene is always very responsive, from our initial contact to completion, she is a joy to work with for the past month. She has an unmatched depth of knowledge about everything in their store as well as what competitors sell with instant answers as to what is in stock, lead times, etc... it's truly priceless to work with an experienced professional!
