I went in to this location last week to make an exchange, and a purchase. I was approached by the assistant manager, I believe her name is JoJo. I explained what I needed, and she asked for my receipt for the exchange. I explained that it was a recent purchase (no more than 1 week old) and that it should be easy to find in my profile history, as I have exchanged items before this way without any problem. She insisted I needed to show a receipt. She then looked at my purchase history in my profile and quickly found the purchase. She said, "it looks like you made this purchase at Dolphin Mall". I confirmed I did, as I buy from Brooks Brothers at Dolphin Mall, Sawgrass, and this location. She then said "give me a minute, I need to call that store and confirm this because theres been a lot of shady stuff going on lately". Needless to say, I was pretty appalled by her comment. She then called the Dolphin store and walked off into the back of the store. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting for her to return. She then walks back to the front counter, and say "I spoke to manager of the store and they confirmed the purchase". However, its best if you go back to that store for the exchange. I cannot do the exchange at this location". I was pretty shocked that this individual, a member of management, would tell me that I have to drive 2 hours to Miami, for a simple exchange of a shirt. I replied "That is pretty absurd. I live in Naples, and youre saying I have to drive to Miami for an exchange?" She said, "Im sorry. There`s nothing more I can do". I have been to this store countless times, and have spent thousands of dollars at Brooks Brothers. My purchase history clearly corroborates this. They know me very well at this location. To be treated like this, and even be suspected of "shady activity" is something I have never experienced. Not in Brooks Brothers or any other retail store. I had no choice but to drive to Miami, where they processed my exchange, no questions asked. I also made a purchase for $330.00 -Gaby, the associate that attended me, was excellent. Read moreI’ve noticed a serious decline in the customer service at this store. I used to be a regular shopper, but after a couple of recent visits, I was really disappointed. The staff, without exception, came across as either uninterested or outright condescending. It was uncomfortable just browsing, as they seemed more focused on chatting with each other and standing around than actually assisting customers.
During one visit, I purchased two shirts and was barely acknowledged. I had two large bags with me and struggled to manage everything while looking through the merchandise-meanwhile, two staff members watched but made no effort to offer help. I knew walking in through the doors I would find the perfect suit, but to my surprise I had an amazing customer service by Mr. Scott Pritt; his knowledge and willingness to help was beyond my expectations. Mr. Pritt knew exactly my sizes as if he knew from a previous shopping encounter, and helped me though the whole process. I would also like to mention a young woman Ariana Milran who was called for a second opinion. Thank you very much Mr. Pritt for an excellent customer service commitment, dedication, and expertise to your clients, but more importantly for your sacrifice serving this country for so many years.
