UPDATE: 100% A REAL CUSTOMER AND A REAL REVIEW. They commented on my post which I don't really check hence no response. Are you willing to provide a refund for the poor experience Daniel?
DO NOT USE Premier Appliance for your dryer repair. They will use cheap aftermarket parts and charge you for OEM or manufacturer parts. Those parts will fail prematurely.
Had Premier come out to repair a dryer that was squeaking and the drum wasn't turning. They came out, diagnosed the problem (bad rollers), and quoted a price to replace. He said he had the parts in his truck, said they were LG parts, so we had him replace them.
A few months go by and the dryer starts making noises again. Called them and mentioned that the dryer was acting up and they came out a second time. This time it was the idler pulley that was bad. Again, he had the part in his truck and supposedly was the official LG part so we went forward with the repair.
Dropped over $750 to repair this dryer and now, about 1 year after the initial repair, the dryer is not working again. Called another repair person this time that came out and diagnosed the problem as the rollers. But this repairman actually ordered the right parts from LG. He said there are too many variations and there's no way to stock all parts for all machines.
He came back after the parts were delivered and did the repair. Immediately after opening the dryer he saw the rollers used were definitely NOT LG parts and within a year they had failed already. Very cheap aftermarket parts. The original rollers lasted over 7 years which is the normal lifespan. Googling the parts Premier used shows they are very cheap aftermarket parts you can buy on ebay or Walmart (red roller in photos).
Our new repair person had ordered another idler pulley just in case it wasn't the rollers and sure enough, even the idler pulley Premier had installed was the wrong size and did not spin correctly so we had him replace that with the official LG part.
So Premier Appliance Repair uses shoddy & cheap aftermarket parts that may not always be the right fit. The repairman should have suggested replacing the pulley at the first visit knowing those are the two moving parts that always break because of wear & tear. They overcharge you for the parts and for the service. Any time you mention the coupon or discount they offer, they just tell you it's already included in the invoice. They don't take credit cards either which is a red flag since they don't want chargebacks after customers realize the "premier" service they've received is anything but.
Avoid these guys at all costs! So many better options available. Now I have to try to get my $750+ back from these guys for the useless...
Read moreOur 18 year old Dacor range was blinking on and off when I was trying to use the convection bake function. We called Premier Appliance and they sent Felix to diagnose the problem. Felix said it was most likely that the relay board was malfunctioning. He had a new relay board that he could install for about $1280. We decided to go ahead and have Felix replace the relay board which would be under warranty for 90 days. Ten days after Felix installed the new relay board, the oven started blinking on and off again. Felix came again and said that the control board was now malfunctioning. Felix said that new control boards were not being manufactured and he was not able to obtain a new or refurbished control board. He said that with the warranty, I could use the $1280 towards the purchase of a new range from their company. Felix also said that new ranges typically lasts 5-7 years. My husband and I did not want a new range. We wanted to have our old Dacor fixed as we felt it was a waste of resources to buy a new range every 5-7 years. Fortunately, my daughter''s friend also had a similar problem with their old Dacor oven's control/relay board. They sent their boards to a repair service and repaired their oven for a fraction of the cost. So we sent our control and relay boards to Circuit Board Medics. For a total of $320 we were able to fix both the control board and our old relay board (shipping varies depending on how fast you want the boards to be shipped). My husband was handy enough to remove and reinstall the control board. Note, there are plastic parts that are old and fragile so perhaps paying Premier Appliance to remove/reinstall boards would be best for some people who are not that handy. The oven is working now without any issues (I will update this review if any problems arise in the next few months). I regret spending the money on the new relay board but I am extremely happy with Circuit Board Medics as they did an excellent job on fixing the boards for a...
Read moreWe almost never leave reviews. But we feel so strongly about leaving a review for Daniel at Premier Appliance Repair: they fixed a long time problem the Viking authorized repair company said was not fixable!
We have a Viking stand alone fridge and freezer. The fridge was giving us trouble almost from day one. We have enough service records to publish as a book. But the over condensation problem got worse and worse.
What's worth noting is that we always used a Viking authorized service repair company called Executive Appliances. Thinking they are Viking trained and certified. Turned out that certification only means incompetency, laziness (because it is guaranteed business). The service guy kept telling us (after the warranty has run out) that there is a design flaw in the door of Viking's side by side. And that there is nothing that can be done. We contacted Viking all the way to their VP, we were jerked around like you can't believe. Because at this point, even though Viking's own certified repair company stated the problem is not "user-caused", and we paid for their numerous visits, and bought brand new gaskets not once, but TWICE, Viking refused to do anything, based on the fact that it is out of warranty. Despite the fact this problem has been from day one and we have all the service records to back it up.
I have always heard amazing things about Daniel and Premier Appliances through our family member. 2 weeks ago, I called. Daniel and his crew came out. Immediately they found a gap on top of the door that was about 1 and 1/2 INCHES!! No wonder we had such bad condensation issue! They spent 4 hours working on correcting the door. And came out a week later to make a final adjustment. We now, finally, have a functional fridge!!
Huge Thank You to Daniel and Premier Appliance - you have a loyal customer and crazy...
