Once a great store in the beginning for me but now just kind of a waste of money and time and the last few times I gone haven't really convince me otherwise the last time I went in had 1 member of staff constantly hovering around the aisle I was in like acting like he was stocking stuff but kept glancing over at me like i was gonna do something I that point got annoyed so I look back at him and just stood there looking at him till he finally walked off but got annoyed that I just left not even picking up what I needed cause of the expereince not to mention they barely having anything good half of the time and whatever they do have is the same merchandise they had from months ago and what they do have new is like way over price at times now don't get me wrong I get some stuff they have are the things people look for but even as a fan of models both the simple and complex stuff lot of the stuff they offer and for what their charging isn't really worth the asking price I see some of the things they sell go for way cheaper online at other stores and online shops their prices are almost as bad as Book Off and speaking of online Imagine having a website the hardly does provides any clear or any real information regarding some of the stuff they have and it really irks my nerves that this site doesn't have everything,no real description of products,most items don't even have a image to look at for reference,the way they word stuff on it makes very confusing and more then anything half of their inventory is just rc cars or planes and I get those are some of the stuff you specialize but hello you got other things to also show off why have a website if you can barely make it fuction to how it is suppose to be a heck at this point why not just hire someone to make the page for you? not to mention their Fivestars page on the app Fivestars the deals are hilariously ridiculous by the time you could actually use the points you would have to shell like $100+ to get any real deals and I know that the app works in how much you purchase but we mother of mary to spend all that money to get $5.00% off discount ? come on now surely there more they could offer then that and just in General its a store that seems like they offer much but honestly they do for some of they stuff they offer but most do not get that treatment and whatever they do offer aint worth the trip i gotta make to go over they and I'm upset at myself that I had gone to this place and paid so much at this store I will let you know this do your research on some stuff before you head over here you might just save a lot of time and money cause if you are anywhere in El Cajon,La Mesa, or anywhere around further out in the San Diego area this shop really won't be worth the time and money or gas you'll be wasting on it but again this just my personal expereince with this store if you Like it then hey fine I don't really care you do whatever you wanna do spend your money however you wish I am just giving my two cents and little advice to some who might have ifs...

I had some soldering work done to my crawler, also added some lights. The installation was stellar! The customer service was great in the beginning…two day turn around! 400$!

I took the crawler home and never saw my lights turn on. The external light module that they installed overheated, and permanently damaged. When I returned to the hobby house the manager started telling me that “it wasn’t like that when it left the store”! He kept repeating that…I said look, I didn’t didnt break it in the the last 5 hours that I had the crawler! It’s a $15 unit, I’ll buy a new one. Let’s just replace it so I can get this working. The manager said he didn’t have a way to light up my crawler …. I asked if I could leave it there and replace the light unit and call me when it’s ready. He said sure. I called a week later, he said he still didn’t have a way to light up my crawler. Also, he said he would call me and I didn’t need to check in….i Thought it would be a guick turnaround. Another week passed, then another, finally it was exactly one month and I decided I was going to get my crawler back from them; fixed or not. When I arrived at the warehouse, my crawler was in the same spot I left it in! The manager saw me and told me he still didn’t have a way to light up my crawler….(imagine that in the whole warehouse! ) I can tell you, my wife and I have been running our own business here in this town on Balboa Avenue from almost 30 years and we don’t pull that kind of crap with our customers so I can tell you I’m not spending a dime over there again and I’ve already spent...

2 months ago I bought a traxxas rc truck for my kid at this local hobby store expecting to get some personalized service and warranty, replacement parts, etc. VS buying online. Dont expect none of the above. They suck. I went to buy an extra battery for the truck that is used with the charger and they told me they no longer carry it and that i should upgrade to a new charger and battery. Bad luck I thought to myself...

I then show the truck I bought to this bad vibe “customer service/ sales” dude to ask him if our rc truck was performing as normal because of this unusual sound it made while it shifted the wheels to the right without using the controler. He tried it and said i had a bad microservo. So i asked if it had a warranty. He said i should contact traxxas. Bad luck again right?

The thing that pisses me off is that they dont give a damn.

No need to spend my time chasing a warranty with the traxxas factory so i rather spent my time giving them a bad review. I did buy them the replacement part needed for 20 bucks so my kid could use the rc...

Not going back...
